Let's post here things that we think Bioware should improve or add with patches.

 

[Improve] - Add more details to the save we are importing

Alright, I like what Bioware did with the Dragon Age Keep. But there is one thing I don't like that is importing the save, unless I check at the Keep what save I am importing, I have no way of knowing what save I am using. All we get is "Custom world state loaded" and nothing else.

I suggest instead of saying "Custom world state loaded" say "Name_we_gave loaded", also a list of the choices we made.

 

[Improve] - UI and tactical mode for PC

Bioware, you promissed more than you delivered in this department. It might work great for controllers, but for keyboard+mouse... Playable but not so great.

I suggest adding more slots for abilites and make the tactical view more like DA:O. I also suggest adding a search bar in the inventory. Today the "quizquisition" man gave me a spoon or something and I couldn't find it, if I had a search bar though...

 

[Add] - Auto-attack

This is an obvious mode that should be added to PC version ASAP, but it could be also added to other versions.

What I suggest is double-click the attack button to auto-attack. That way, we can still press to attack, but also auto-attack by double-clicking.

 

[Add] - Chest to store our loot

This feature should be in the Vanilla version, not in some DLC...

Right now, I'm totally down with the storage chest.

 

Didn't they learn anything from the previous games?

Seriously, seperate inventory space for research items.

How is this not assumed way to do this anyway.

 

Hook shot (I know what I called it) to work on none hostile mobs.

Let me control the camera with mouse movements rather than holding down a button and then moving the mouse to rotate the camera.  Unbinding this one thing would make it more playable for me with a kb/m setup.

 

Though it's not going to happen, having a radial menu for unmapped abilities would be nice.  On the consoles, it could easily be remedied by unmapping the menu from R1 and putting it on L3, move the search function to R3, and allowing for R1 to open up extra toggled abilities.

Ability to "V" Scan resources while mounted

Ability to Collect all resources while in same area as well at loot without going to each individual item click to scan then clicking to accept..  (one key should do it)

 

Combat, Why the pause in combat don't understand that., Maybe it's just the combat system hose job, but swinging with a 2handed weapon is so broken, I've had times where I am singing at the actual * monster and its not even landing /registering hits., 

 

Combat Damage for a 2-handed weapon is unbalanced,  When bosses swing with 2 handed weapon you noticed the power, but when myself or my NPC use an even

batter weapon its like I'm fighting with a level 1 one handed sword...

 

Combat for fighter types doesn't work right, you're not able to move around in combat for a flanking or back attack., - Who in the hell thought of this!

 

Ability to Keep more then one quest tracker on the tracker screen side...

 

Allow NPC to use more of the potions you assign to them,  why place it on their tool bar If they're not smart enough to use it.

 

Allow NPC's to at least have a 50% chance to revive down players/NPC  - or at least create a Med kit or something to be used on the battle field

 

Adjust the Volume of the Banter as its to low, didn't start off that way, maybe you need a slider for voice conversation.

 

Adjust the Animal Warp speeding out of combat if attacked, If you miss ok, they have a chance to get away, but with 50 to 75% damage really..

 

Adjust the scripting of NPC's that is,  they're a little too stupid,  1) they will clod up each other, 2) if they're stuck in a room with and for some strange reason they'll just

keep running into the wall, I actually had to click on one of them to move him off the mark so he can follow.  3) Allow them to stay at range if a ranged combat guy archer/mage,   I could see their scripting "Behavior" gets better as they go up in level but man..

 

Side note: Explain the use of Gem's either as pure gold/sellable items or use for something down the road, I assumed its for selling.

 

why use store max item count at 99, why not 256 you know some people like to craft and see what they can get. 

 

I also agree  crafting items and book /tome/etc should not count towards your inventory.   By the way, since I do have this big Sky___  all those storage locations and I can't use them for my crafting items...Pimp!

 

I can play the game now just to explore places, but when it comes to fighting I feel sick as the routine is just too hard on the hands, frankly can't think of a pc game that did this. At least you can claim to be the first...:)

Some good ideas here. Not sure a patch could fix this - but I wish X wasn't the jump button.... too much jumping when I am simply trying to pick up loot.

YES. I had no idea I'd feel so strongly about this... As much as I love this game, the Orlesian Ball... My god, everyone was wearing the same outfit. I can obviously excuse the repeated clutter NPCs, that's fine, but EVERYONE in the Inquisition... male or female, bull or freaking Vivienne... All wore that awful red outfit. Terrible. Really, really bad. Vivienne greatly disapproves.

And while they're at it, I hope they allow Casual Clothes customization while we're in our room. The default clothes aren't bad (Unless they're on a male elf...)  but some disagree.


Also, please return Tactics to the way they were in the last two games. They're awful in DAI. Still a great game though.

Screw them! I only care about my Inquisitor looking prettiful!

Auto-attack is a big one and one I feel they could add in a patch.

 

Click-to-move and click-to-activate from range are probably much harder due to the new engine and how they built the game. Will be interesting to see if they do it.

Ooh, there's this annoying thing where whenever I get a triggered/forced dialogue wheel that's not during a cutscene (like after Felix gives me Dorian's note, the cutscene ends and a dialogue wheel appears so that I can reply to Cassandra's comment) it's faded out and I can't use it. If I move around the stick then my character just walks. Really annoying. I couldn't talk to Connor in the future. Lots of dialogue options I wanted to explore but couldn't because of this glitch.

That fact that neither male or female Qunari could wear the Orlesian mask (which it puts in your inventory anyway, just to taunt you) was worse than the fact that female characters (including companions, advisors..) had to wear a dress uniform, in my opinion.

There's a button you have to press, on a controller it's pushing in the right stick - dunno about keyboard/mouse.

Let's see...

- Face codes or character import.

- A magic mirror thing to alter our Inquisitor's face, pretty please.

- Hair that does not look like ****. Aka receding hairlines, stupid sideburns on females, or ponytails that make us look like 13 year old adolescent girls on a mall adventure.

- More casual outfits for Skyhold.

- Storage chest.

AND FIX THAT DAMN VOICE CHANGING GLITCH! Seriously. It's ridiculous it even passed testing. It's not exactly something you could miss. And considering how many people it has happened to, I wouldn't say it's a rare glitch. I mean, have they even acknowledged it? I haven't seen any response from them in regards to it, official or otherwise.

A mabari hound that follows me around and constantly pings for items. He can fetch them too as long as he doesn't get saliva all over them. Is that to hopeful?

Errors and bugs causing game crashes and breaking game experience like cutscene crashes, cutscene pausing, character VO change. It needs to be fixed ASAP. Then- other stuff.

The "pinged objects appear on the mini-map" is brilliant and needs repeating 'til it happens or we learn it's actually impossible. The storage chest is a given, as are auto-attack and "don't make research materials 'valuables." So, err....
