If I remember correctly, it's a side effect of the alchemical and magical treatment that Witchers are subjected to. It causes the mutations that give them an edge. And makes them sterile.

It has **** scenes so that horny dudes can jack it, and then collect cards afterwards.

 

No matter how bad BioWare's romance scenes may be, at least I actually give a **** about the people involved in them.

Why is nobody saying these things while everyone is accusing Bioware of pandering to homosexuals when Bioware is treating everyone equally.No, even Bioware has had more straight than gay option in every Dragon Age game so far.The Witcher is exclusively crafting their sex scenes for a certain demographic and nobody is complaining about it, why?I'd say it's because of the privilege straight male gamers are experiencing because every other game has romance options catered only to them, them, them and them.It's all about them.

 

No one is saying that because, honestly, why would CD Project put homosexual scenes with Geralt? Geralt is a character set in stone, and he is 100% straight. Making him gay would be akin to Peter Jackson making Gimil the love intrest of Aragorn in LotR movies. An argument could be made for a sex scene with non-straight side characters (there is a lesbian scene in Witcher 2 iirc) but then again, no characters like that in the books (except for Fillipa and Triss, tho she is no longer into that). I suppose you could make a homosexual character, but if for political correctness only then I see no point. And from what I know CD Project Red thinks in a similar way.

Don't know how the white people thing came up, but Geralt is considered an unholy mutant and faces constant bigotry. Same goes for the non-humans in the Witcher.
 
And if we go by the "it's mainly sex so it isn't a romance" logic, IB and similar characters aren't true romances either.

IB and others would still be considered true romance. With IB there is an ongoing relationship through DAI. They end up saying they love each other if that's how the PC wants to play it.

Nah, the witcher 2 has good softcore scenes but there is no romance just passionate sex. I'm actually hopeing CDP takes a few notes from Bioware here and adds  some depth; I'd hate to get excited for Yennifer for it to be just sex.

Oh please no..Don't want CD Red any developer to take or copy anything from Bioware games.. We don't want heavily dumbed down RPG games with mediocre story.....

 

There aren't many AAA hardcore mature RPG games with good story and characters..Witcher is the only one right now and i don't want it to change or become like DAI

Edit: Hmmm, it has been a long time since I played Witcher 2 but during those scenes are the sex organs of women explicitly showed? Because it seems to me that there is something in Polish law about nudity that as long as it does not show sex organs clearly it's generally "ok" (brilliant legal term, I know), and when they are shown explicitly it's considered pornography and that obviously brings a whole lot of trouble for the developers. I might be absolutely wrong about tho.

This is ridiculous. Blackwall doesn't ask you to find to Grey Warden stuff in return for romance.He asks you to find the Grey Warden stuff because he wants to have the Grey Warden stuff.

The romance only has something to do with it because giving him the items gives you approval, and that's purely a game mechanic thing.

Blackwall is hot like burning. Geralt is hideous, and I hated his personality for the one hour I spent playing as him. I don't care how many griffon feathers Blackwall wants me to find or how many things Geralt kills, the answer remains obvious.
