The "romance scenes" in the Witcher do make sense, in Geralt's perspective. He is a witcher, thus making him immune to all kinds of diseases, and he has been described as kind of a "ladies man" kind of person. He likes sex, quite frankly. If he is immune to the possible side effects, then why not? Witchers can't have children either so no risk of little Geralt's running around.

 

Even Triss has gotten used to Geralt being the way he is. I think their relationship is deeper than just sex, which is why they still deeply care for each other. 

 

What I don't understand, is why so many women (in the Witcher 1, at least) would agree to have sex with him? Is he THAT attractive? Is it his deep voice? Or maybe the white hair? I really don't know.

Probably what you said no disease and no chance of having children with him also reputation.

Witcher romance scenes are epic like Game of Thrones ...That pool scene between Triss and Geralt was just amazing....

 

DAI sex scenes are dumbed down coz it's published by EA..lol. EA probably don't want super raunchy scenes in their games, whereas CD Red is independent, they don't care..They go all the way to make sex scenes super raunchy and mature like Game of Thrones..

DAI scenes also look awkward thanks to terrible character animation...They should improve character facial and body animation and make them more realistic like Quantic dream or Naughty Dog games...I want full body performance capture from now on

I hope they never go the Witcher route, adding nudity is good enough. The Witcher scenes are all "you saved me, wanna bang?" they make little sense and instead of developing a strong relationship and being an interesting story with two lovers, it just becomes Geralt getting all the ladies then ditching them, with no emotion.

It makes perfect sense since that what Geralt is in the books. He likes the ladies and they like him.

If you want to hate on the Witcher then thats fine, but don't act as if CD Projekt hasn't learned from their mistakes. Acting ignorant for the sake of your argument doesn't make it more valid.

Can't talk about Witcher 3 but i doubt it will be any different from the previous games. Being able to sleep with everything that moves...Helped her open a jar..."meet me at my tent", "my best friend just got killed" -"what are you waiting for, lets..."

They started dumbing down their games after the success of that third person shooter game ME 2...

2 different games 2 different target audiences. I'd be happy with a version of da without the romances and more focus on combat at this point.

I prefer witcher soft porn romances as a straight male but I like the party system and character creation of dragon age. I do not like the action rpg style combat of the witcher series.

Nope but the straight women certainly want (and whoever likes male butts), and to say witcher is best in romance is ridiculous.

And no, he was "miraculously" clothed as always, you couldn't see it because the game focus on Triss' boobs and ass as if it's the most important thing ever. The most hilarious scene was the scene where he woke up with pants on him.

I don't want to see porn in Dragon Age. Bioware nailed the love scenes with Inquisition. Nothing explicit, but meaningful and passionate.
