No Cole's backstory,Orlais,Celene and Briala are all important things the game handles terribly.
And you can also still enjoy The Witcher without reading the books.
I'll give you that Cole and the WHWE parts of DAI required some reading to fully enjoy but in the Witcher I couldn't really relate to or understand why Geralt is like he is.

witcher for instance have a long relationship with Triss like forever.
also must of the girls Geralt do is like just more stress release other then pure romantic, also don't think it matters much in that age it play's.

I think im mostly bitter towards the fact that Love scenes with Bioware went down hill because Fox news attacked them for it when the lelianna love scene where you got to see her butt check in Mass effect 1. Very good love scene btw. Hate the company for being ******. Hate Fox news for being a propaganda machine.

I know, English is not my main language so sorry for the wording. I mean Cassandra looks like a man to some but not to me.
I hope they never go the Witcher route, adding nudity is good enough. The Witcher scenes are all "you saved me, wanna bang?" they make little sense and instead of developing a strong relationship and being an interesting story with two lovers, it just becomes Geralt getting all the ladies then ditching them, with no emotion.

I wouldn't really call anything in Witcher "romance" it's male fantasy pandering made by people from a country which has major issues with sexism. Women in the game are tools to see naked and bang. You only get the option to play as a male who women fall all over to be with because he is a perfect manly hero.

Witcher 2. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt won't be released until February, though I'm sure they'll keep doing what they're doing.
Bumped up to May now. Which is a good thing. 1. I won't be in school anymore and 2. it means they give a **** about quality.

I'm disturbed that people could actually think The Witcher has romance scenes.
Geralt has a (possible) romantic relationship with Triss and Yennefer, and it's rather tasteful compared to the shitty Witcher 1 cards, if you like it or not.
