I'm disturbed that people could actually think The Witcher has romance scenes.

Agree. Geralt have only one romance Triss. And we have.

16% of the world's population is white. About half of those are men (8%). For convenience's sake, I'm just going to assume all of those are straight.
 
So that means that catering to the white, straight males, means you're leaving out 92% of the world's population.
 
A few percentages? Seems to me the straight white males are only a few percentages, and the rest is the vast majority. I suggest we're just going to ignore the wishes of this small group of white, straight men and listen to the rest of the world what they want.
 
Then watch the outroar about how badly we, the white straight men, are treated.
 

 
Absolutely true. As a male, you can't suffer the consequenses of sexism, unless you want to be a female prostitute, then you might face some diifficulties. But it's easy as a white straight male to act like sexism doesn't exsist, you never experience it. Just like you never experience racism because you're white. Just like you never experience how much gay men are shunned because you aren't one.
 
The best part of it all is though, even though we, straight, white men never experience anything of racism or sexism, we are very quick to denounce others feelings about these subjects as rubbish, meaningless and as whining.

How to romance in DA games - Pick your fav companion with whom you will romance and then complete his/her BS side quest to win their approval and when approval high enough you get a lame sex scene with clothes ON and awkward animation lol

 

 

In Witcher, you win your lady by slaughtering a monster threatening entire village or by doing some heroic **** which makes you feel like a badass...In DA you have to complete some BS fetch quests to win approval of your lover .To romance Blackwall you have to get these grey warden tags? WTF?

 

 

Only decent romance option in DAI is Iron Bull...To win him over you have to kill a dragon and complete his fantastic personal quest...Rest are meh except may be Solas...

What I don't understand, is why so many women (in the Witcher 1, at least) would agree to have sex with him? Is he THAT attractive? Is it his deep voice? Or maybe the white hair? I really don't know.

Don't be silly, why should female characters in games have their own motivations, reasons, agendas and personalities?Their primary goal is to have sex with you, of course, everything else comes second, don't people ever learn?

In all seriousness though The Witcher 2 had some pretty good female characters such as Philippa Eilheart or Saskia but the rest of them were victims or stupid commoners who were always like "OH MAW GAD YOU ARE GERALT LET ME AHVE SEX WITH YOU PLZ"

 

The sex scenes were just there for eye candy and had no romantic depth to them.95% of the sex scenes were just rewards for Geralt focusing completely on the women and their sex appeal.

 

The only semi-developed romance was Triss, but it was just Geralt leading her on to have a f*** buddy(His real love is Yennefer) and I found her to have a boring, bland personality.She expressed no opinion on anything whatsoever untill the last act if you make a certain decision.

Eh, I don't care either way about nudity. It adds nothing of value. The only reason people wanted nudity was because of how bad the underwear dry-humping scenes were. I was always fine with just a simple fade to black, like ME1.

 

But whatever, I also was not offended by nudity. Its just video game models, I am sure the resources that went into designing animating these scenes could have been better spent elsewhere.

You're sh*tting me. I don't even have a witty come back to something stupid like this, I'm just baffled by the idea that only minorities are the target of racism and that only women are the target of sexism.

 

Also, I genuinely lol'ed @ the whole "you can't know how bad gay people have it because you aren't gay" comment. "You don't know, you aren't black/red/purple/gay/whatever!" may as well be an understood admission of not knowing what the f**k you're talking about, it's such a poor point to make.

It would be wondrous if we even knew how the romance scenes in TW3 look. Since, you know, the game releases in more than 4 months.

There is one elven lady you save in that quest at the end of chapter 1 if you join Iorveth.  If there's more than this one, I'd like to know... I remember just one.

The brothel in Lobinden was in the basement of the tavern, not the tall burning building where you rescued the elven women from the top floor.

 

Previous DA games had prostitutes until your money ran out too, so I don't really see much of a difference there. Sure, DA:I had no brothel. It had virtually no social hub outside of Skyhold.
