Just to make him more powerful I gave him master corruption runes in his weapons and fire enchanted armor o.o

It would go back to the Fade. Spirits only stay when they haven't completed whatever task they appear for. That's why you bring a spirit, and not say a demon. Spirit Cole makes it clear he can go back to the Fade any time he wants. As does the Spirit of Command in Crestwood.

Cole is a special case and the spirit of command was in a place with fade rifts everywhere. I admit just the phrase "touch the mind by a spirit" is left ambiguous but it makes no sense otherwise. A spirit warrior's description says that they trade favors to spirits for glimpses of the mortal world. What does that mean? Why would it be such a horrifying concept for the Lord Seekers to keep a secret from the rest of their seekers and the chantry if it was merely a magical process? Why would Cassandra fear her belief is a product of the spirit in Cole banter?

Even if Leliana allows the Templar Order to be rebuilt, that's still a major victory because the previous Order was purged as I desired. With the mages given their rightful autonomy, the templars can start from scratch and do a better job this time.

Cole is special because he failed in his role so he fractured mentally to fix his failure. This is explained during his personal quest. The Spirit of Command said she could leave at anytime, which was the point. She could leave even with the Rift Open. Also Cass explains what Lucius was talking about, it was the corruption in their Order, not them being literal abominations. And finally, spirits can make people think things. Perhaps said spirit never left her, as Wynne's spirit treated her as a child, but there is no actual possession.

Solas proves to you that this is not the case, and it is even in a codex entry.  A spirit becomes a demon if it is *summoned* to this world and *bound*, not if it comes of its own accord.  Cole is an example of this.

What does the codex entry say exactly and we have to keep in mind the credibility of its author. If it's by chantry guy, well I wouldn't consider him very credible. solas has been to the Fade and studied spirits and perhaps more credible. Demons are a product of spirits made to do something against their nature. Cole even admits he was a demon, most likely of despair when he couldn't help mortal Cole. Cole evolved when he chose to be otherwise or Rhys influence or something but he is a special case. Regular spirits I'm not sure of.

It's the story about how a few Circle mages attempted to summon and bind a spirit of Wisdom to speak with.  They were surprised that the spirit was gentle and gracious and stayed and talked with them for a long time.  Then the spirit left, and they realized that their binding hadn't worked at all.

 

And have you even done Solas' personal quest?

Considering that Cassandra was a product of the ritual, it's pretty sefish for her to keep that knowledge to herself. Well someone had to help the lord seeker actually perform the process so other people must have known.

Seekers can't create rifts for initiates to have their minds "touched", whatever that means, and keep the rifts open. Demons can pour out. there's not even 100% chance whatever comes out is a spirit of faith, what if it's a spirit of something else. Some other people had to know how the process was conducted.

Which leads me to question why seekers themselves were kept in the dark about it for so long. Even Lucius, the one who succeeded Lambert, only knew when he read the book of secrets.

I thought about playing a female human mage siding/allying with the Templars because she had a friend/secret lover in the Templars. Decided against it because I already have a mage warden. Plus, then I would have to do Mage Hawke-Isabela romance just to do a three mage canon.

 

Will probably side with the Templars. they make more sense.

The difference being the Templars are mind controlled into doing it with Tainted lyrium, while the mages join of their own freewill, which kind of pissed me off more than them selling out Ferelden.

The higher ups? Yeah. The actual Knights? No. They starved them out until they had almost no choice. They locked all of the normal lyrium away. And even the higher ups had to deal with Envy.

That's not how it went. All non-officers where locked out of normal lyruim, they had no choice but to take the red lyruim or they would suffer lyruim withdrawal and not everyone is like Cullen who can handle that(even Cullen had massive issues with his withdrawal) so no, not the samething at all.

 

They where pretty much coerced into taking it, even if they did not want to. Officers also get a taste of justice.

Mages Fiona CHOSE to ally with Tevinter (and the Venatori Didn't even know Venatori existed), and deserves no mercy. The corruption of the Templars were forced upon them(explained). Always the Templars.

 

Perhaps the biggest flaw of Templars is their blind obedience. Very few questioned Meredith's actions and by the time Cullen stood up it was way too late. Templars didn't have to follow their corrupt leaders, but as long as they are paid and given their junk nothing else matters, am I right?

 

Have the courtesy to admit both sides are equally portrayed.
