Intresting fact, Fiona shows up ay Haven, Barris does not. Considering Barris was resisting the red lyruim, he most likely died fighting along with all the other non-corrupted templars that would have died without aid. Barris died fighting while Fiona just gave everything up. lol what an idiot.

Are you sure? Didn't Xil just claim a few pages back that he turns into a behemoth?

Nope, that's a different templar.

Xil's wrong, the Behemoth was the Knight Captain you fight with Barris

The implications are pretty much clear, Barris died fighting while Fiona betrayed her own people and ideals. I love it.

He's known as the John Stewart of the Templars :P

And, given what Barris' ideals and people were, that leaves them in about the same spot morally in the end.

Barris' ideals are what the Templars are suppose to be, and it showed that he didn't approve of what they were doing

Then why didn't he leave the Order when they went rogue? I gave Cullen a lot of crap, deservedly so, but he did the right thing in the end.

He wanted to but could not for valid reasons that are brought up in the game. Considering you already got in-game facts wrong, no surprise you don't understand the character.

In brightest day, in blackest night
No blood mage shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil's might
Beware my power— blue lyrium's light!

Now he really should've been voiced by Phil Lamarr

Such a missed opportunity Bioware :P

At least Barris would have been worthy of this Energy Bombardment. Fiona, not so much.

I choose the templars.

Better combat music.

Better quest.

And more challenging enemies later on (the mages are anyway)

And honestly I much prefer Barras over Fiona.

Don't worry, in Dragon Age 4 Ser Barris will face off the yellow templar corps.

For a moment, they'll run off in terror when they realise who they are fighting.

I liked Champions of the Just as a mission a lot more, had a Red Wedding vibe and no time travel is always a plus

Yeah when I finally did do the mage mission it's just so bleh. And the time travel "oh so none of this bad crap happened haha) pissed me off because I got reminded of that apparently bullshit E3 mission with "your decisions have consequences." WE DIDN'T SEND HER THERE UNPREPARED DAMNIT.

Champions of the Just > Hushed Whispers.

Even the damn combat track is better.

How could I? He had one line in my game.

I did like the aspect of them showing what would happen if we fail

. If you don't ever meet with that walking blasphemy unto the lore there's no troubles, just go straight to the Templar mission

You also avoid Dorian being angry with you later by doing this.

The only bad thing is you can't recruit the tranquil mage if you do this.

You could be a lot more honest in the fact that you don't actually know the character before you pass judgement. Some of us have actually played both sides before we commented here.

Oh yeah that's nice and all.

But you get glimpses of that with Champions of the Just. And it's done better. Without time travel bs.

Not that well.

Your partymembers seemed pretty fine for people having been exposed to red lyrium for a whole year and most likely tortured.

Leliana was the only one who seemed as troubled as one would expect.

Oh I agree, but I see some positives in the Mage mission also

It was pretty messed to learn what they did with the Tranquils

I'd take Venatori mages any day over Red Templar Shadows, Knights or Horrors. Especially the Shadows.
