He's in the fort in Emprise du Leon.

Michel does explicitly describe him as a desire demon, though when you fight him he takes on the form of Fear, Rage, and Pride. Given that he continues to insist he's a "Choice Spirit" right up until the moment combat starts, I think his nature is more complex than Michel gives him credit for.

Oh it's just a question of exploration then, I'll see it eventually

I don't know anything about Bioware's design process, but a lot (they're hardly a cohesive group) of feminists complained about the desire demons, so I guess Bioware caved. I hardly noticed TBH though.

(And by feminists I mean over privileged High School/College aged girls, who took a one semester class in sociology, and now think they know everything there is to know about the world, Which they then share on their Tumblr blog.)

edit: And why do I suddenly feel guilty for posting this? Also would a male form be that difficult? I'm pretty sure that would shut everyone up.

Or feminists who see the inherent problem of having a desire demon inherently be female and be the only female formed demon in the game? Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but not everyone's desire is a woman nor is the default form of desire a woman. My mage wouldn't see a desire demon as a woman. My Hawke probably would. The other demons have very vague undefined forms except for that one...and it's kinda gross because it says "desire is a naked woman who looks like this". I'm attracted to women and no it's not, I'm attracted to men and no it's not. Truthfully having that as the default form works best in Origins, but they could have come up with a cooler design for desire demons in general. The actual design is cool, but a bit lazy (arguably the concept art is more interesting). Really they probably should have gone less female and more androgynous because the desire demon can be anything you want, male female or in between. What is best about them is they aren't just about sex.  For Imshael to lack a set form is disappointing and it feels like they didn't want to make a sexualized male desire demon OR like they didn't know how. It could have been a moment to introduce a cool new character model, but they flubbed it.

Feminism comes in many forms and many levels stop being a butt and belittling that fact. I see it all the time and it reads as nothing more than complaining about people actually seeing problems in society and in certain cultural norms. You don't have to be a feminist either to wonder why they're the only demons with a female form.

So the next time this topic is brought up, for like the 20th time, the OP should just be honest and say they just really want very scantily clad attractive women offering them whatever they want.

Inquisition is open demonic war. Desire demons would want to be as far as possible from it; it's not their forte.

Oh yes, the feminists that complained about it must've had a similar choice of words.

Things like desire demons have no place in the new PC BioWare. Next game they're dropping all the old demons and just adding acceptance spirits.

It was odd not seeing Desire Demons there as they do cause a lot of ruckus with there mind controlling styles, and to the Forbidden Ones they all started as a aspect of emotion as Imshael is one of the oldest demons out there probably meet the first contact with humans back when he was a Desire Demon only but as with everything as time goes by you learn and grow to new areas so that explains how Imshael changes form during the fight.

Gaxkang the Unbound was probably a Pride Demon to begin with while Xebenkeck was a Desire Demon to begin with, the Formless One I cannot speak for but its possible he/she is the strongest among the four as the name implies it has no form either its a Demon with no aspect to begin with or it has mastered and learnt every grip of emotion it can drain.

Sorry I got a little off topic there but yea was expecting to see at least one or two Desire Demons being used especially if you chose to side with the Templars since the mages get mind controlled which is a common Desire effect.

I'm kind of glad they aren't back because their model was just so stupid. I mean my character would just stand there and be like, Why da fuq are you rubbing your boobs. Do those tassel things hurt? Cause that seriously looks like it would hurt.
