Can we maybe finally expect this franchise to be consistent in art-style and character design? I admit many characters were looking for a makeover since Origins. I liked the new depiction of Qunari in DA2 and then DA:I. I liked the makeover for Cullen and Cassandra too.

I hope in a sequel we might see Cassandra for instance and she actually looks like herself and not like "oh... she sounds like Cass--no wait, she IS Cassandra! What!?" like with some returning characters in this game.

I've seen a couple of people critisise past DA games for being in an identity crisis and that DA:I is finally comfortable in its own skin. I agree and I also felt the same kind of attachment to this one as I did with Mass Effect, so that's a good sign. Hopefully we won't keep seeing artistic overhauls in future games from now on, other than better graphics that stays true to the original concept art :-P

I also hope the models don't change much if at all anymore, just to keep them consistent. In my opinion all the characters look perfect now, great job Bioware for doing this since it would have been hard moving to a new engine and all, extremely pleased.

Everything else looks pretty good, except the hair. ;)

Agreed, except as the above poster mentions, the hair. Only thing that needs some change and love.

But yea, the rest of the art is incredibly gorgeous.

Hopefully it continues in this direction, just needs more hair options.

Yes please.  Excellent stylised art, amazing lighting, colourful environments and awful hair.

To everyone who disliked the hairs. What is so atrocious with them? I rather like them this time around.

The fact that nearly HALF of them are some variation of bald or incorporate a "shaved head" look. Like the female hair style that's half long and half shaved, why is there no "completely long" version? And again, the last half of the hair bar is just variations of bald or shaved. It's boring. Meanwhile many NPCs and companions have a lot of nice hair styles that are more traditional or were styles in previous games but were left out of the character creator for....reasons?

Cass looked the same from DA2 to DAI. Didn't recognize Allistair though, good thing the game mentioned his name. Of course, it was his first depiction drom O to I, having been absent from 2; the leap was pretty big.

But I love that his loser side is still showing, especially the letters he sends the Inquisition for a request where the scibes write down everything he says literally...

How would I put this? Hair options are about 1-2 generations below the quality of the rest of the game (basically a static mesh for the hair). If you look some of the newer games these days, those have animated and far more detailed hair already. It seems like a waste not to use FB3 engine to the fullest when everything else already seems up to date.

Terrific looking environments, but the character models still look like plastic dolls /shrug.

A certain royal cameo did make me titter. Looked like someone spent about 2 minutes in the CC and did it from memory.

Well it's 100% better looking that the certain royal/non-royal cameo in Dragon Age 2 :D
