"What Lie Dormant" was really nothing special unless you really want a Superb Frost Rune I guess -_-

Sigh. If there's a quest that's dependant on having Solas IN the party when activating those devices in order for the quest to trigger, then I'm going to strongly recommend they either:

1) Dispense of the "Solas must be in the party" bit, or...
2) Make those devices impossible to activate without Solas in the party.

I triggered it without Solas being in the party, but I needed him to be there for the last one I had to go over their arbitrary threshold I think. You don't need to activate all of them to get the quest.

I activated only the very first few with Solas in the party. I got the war table mission when Vivienne activated the last one required (not the last one overall, there were still like 2 or 3 left). But the What Lies Dormant quest itself was pretty boring. I brought Solas with me, he didn't say a word, nobody in my party said a word, I just fought a generic high lvl rift and that was it (there was probably some approval to be gained for Solas, but I had him already maxed).

The quest finally activated yesterday in my second playthrough not very thorough playthrough (I'm missing an achievement which is choice related). Maybe patch 4 did somehing to my X360...

As far as I can tell "What Lies Dormant" requires you to activate 10 elven artifacts with Solas actually present.

I got it last night and it unlocks a war table mission.

Still haven't encountered "All new, Faded for her" yet though.

I hope I haven't missed something and blocked myself out of the quest.

I don't think this is correct. I received the war table mission when I activated like 95% of all the artifacts and I stopped taking Solas with me as soon as I got Dorian (and then switched him for Vivienne).

So it's just a war table mission? Bahhh!

Nope, there is a follow-up quest after the war table mission, called "What Lies Dormant". The objective is to close a generic high lvl rift in a cave in Hinterlands. Solas won't have any comments on it whatsoever, not in Skyhold, not during the quest itself.

Just wondering if this is what triggers the quest: I have plenty of those elven artifacts already, and the quest didn't trigger. But then I did the Stranger Rift in the Ruins quest. When I got back, the quest is in the war table. Also, I heard that once it's completed, I can go to Hinterland and close another new Rift.
