Rage of Mages - Check
Toonstruck - Heard of it
Laura Bow: the Dagger of Amon Ra - Played, didn't take good enough notes, got arrested at the end.
Flashback - Played
Legend of Kyrandia - Played, couldn't beat
Romance of the Three Kingdoms - Played, couldn't get it for the life of me. But I was like 10 at the time.
Commander Keen - Played
The Incredible Machine - played
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers - Played, pirated copy, couldn't get past a certain point.
Syndicate - Played, LOVED it! Game needs to be remade as an FPS or an RPG
Another World - Played
Frontier Elite II - Didn't play this one, but I played Frontier: First Encounters
Now how about THESE:
Metaltech: Earthsiege (Sierra's answer to FASA's Mechwarrior franchise)
Under A Killing Moon
DarkSeed
Willy Beamish
Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist
Last Dynasty - Little known game about a Starfighter called the Arrow, it's pilot and co-pilot.

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom menace video game. I KNOW it's not obscure but this was actually a good game! It was almost rpg-ish in nature, no stats but there was sidequests, dialogue options etc... I still have the disc. A game based off of a movie that was actually good...who knew?

I used to play Vietcong and the Fist Alpha expansion all the time, the proximity voice + having radiomen be able to communicate with each other across the field is to me a still unmatched setup for squad play and immersion, keep squads close enough together to communicate and coordinate attacks + arty with other squads through the radiomen.
Or just use the proximity voice to have fun asking an enemy to wait up them knifing them in the back, making noises right behind someone so they turn around into your bayonet. So many good times playing that game, its a shame they rushed/butchered the sequel and dropped support on it right away, though there was a community patch that made some improvements.

It's not really that nobody has ever heard about this game, since it's pretty internationally played. This one, being the only game I ever played on multiplayer : Track mania. Every single one of them. The classic, Sunrise or United. I am very happy to own all three the games. It was developed by Nadeo (which is French if I am not wrong) and by the looks of it, by now there are a lot of players. Possibly became famous because of Track Mania Nations, which is free to download from the internet. But the best is United, which gives the classic one, Sunrise and Nations all in the same game. Graphics in general are quite amazing for a driving game and the requirements are almost nothing. I could even play it on high graphic settings on the old PC, which is something already. But the most important thing, with United, you get 7 different environments with 7 different vehicles with different driving styles. And what is pretty impressive, you may build, upload download any custom made map to make other people race, or for your own joy. There are, I don't know, some 250 different pieces you can place on a track for each environment. Perhaps the box can tell me better... No, it's not written on it. Still, the game includes over 300 different Nadeo-pre made tracks as well as you can download MEGA patches from the official site, which are free, and add new pieces for you to build, as well as some new tracks.
Finally, it costs nothing. I bought it the first week it came out for some 30 euros I think.

Isn't that the one where one of the best team members is Canadian, looks a lot like Wolverine, and always responds to clicks with 'Eh?!'

Victoria: An Empire Under the Sun w/ Revolutions Expansion and Victoria Improvement Project. Play that with the xpack and mods installed and you got yourself a world conquest game that sets its time from 1836-1936. They are made from the same people who did Europa Universalis III.

7th Guest was pretty popular in it's day since it followed the great success of Myst and was slightly similar. I will never forget solving the canned food puzzle where you rearranged them into a message with no vowels.Goth Skunk wrote...

Vagrant Story... now there is an underappreciated game. It had a great story with much more intrigue than Square's usual fare.

Grim Fandango isn't exactly obscure, but it deserves a mention. A truly great adventure game.

Thanks to a random bunch of games stuffed onto a CD-rom back in the day, I got to experience the MS-dos game craze. Now come Windows XP and Vista and it's a little harder to play some of them.
Gabriel Knight is my favorite point-and-click game. I've played the whole series and the first one is my favorite out of the three. I read the second novel once in a while. Von Glower rocks.
Beneath a Steel Sky is pretty high up there on the click adventures list too. I never take the word "Foster" seriously anymore after playing it.
Inherit the Earth was a random play. Interesting concept to play as an animal. Liked the scripty font, as it was sorta medieval. Wacky Wheels was another animal game. Gotta love using porcupines as ammo.
Hocus Pocus was better than I thought. I think it was this game that got me liking the Apogee line of games.
Flashback I recently found a version that is Vista compatible. I hadn't played this game in years but I remember the animation really impressed me. Having walkthroughs nowadays is a blessing because back then I had none and couldn't figure out the controls properly. Considering the copy I originally played was French and I knew none, it's no surprise.
Zork series I've never finished. The narratives were great. Fun to use one letter commands instead of typing out a whole word.
Swashbuckler. Good times taking out peg-legged pirates, arr! Surprising amount of dexterity needed as the game progressed.
Death Rally I replayed last week. It's nice to find a Vista compatible version. Funny sound effects.
Princess Maker 2. Train your daughter to be a sword-slashing fighter or a sleazy waitress? Sure!

Gothic (anybody know that outside Germany?)
There was a really obscure not very great but still fun Joan of Arc game named Wars and Warriors. It was an action/strategy hybrid (on one hand you collect toops on the other hand you have a variety of fighting game slash moves) and I loved it.
There was a seriously broken action/adventure game whose name eludes me where you have to collect little faeries and have them battle each other. Really, really girly game, but I still played it all the way through with a firned and we had a blast making fun of it.
This. Yes, buggy as hell but great Lovecraft atmosphere.

Gothic 2 is pretty good, but Risen is much better :-)
I also liked The Guild 2 (Die Gilde, or something...), it was fun.
