Can you respec your points at any point in the game, like if I decide I want to go sword and board instead of two handed?
Is there a way to respec?

Yes. In haven near the forge you can buy amulets that let you do that. In Skyhold the crafting room has same option. And you can respec anyone, not just your main character.

You can do it for so long as you have ~300 it costs. It is unlimited at the store by the crafting guy... can't remember his name. I spend all my money on that trying to find the best builds for my party.
