Bioware : The Store chests have me worried.

I see you guys have spent over 200k-300k in gold, and disappointed in what the chests have brought you. I myself have probably spent close to 900k to get all the highest level unique weapons so that should tell you something. Some of the best weapons were found in small and medium chests, so don't just splurge on large chests. I do agree to the general consensus, that secret room chests contain mostly low level or useless gear. It's always nice to get a unique purple in those rooms and come to find out that it's a superb ring of bleeding =)

I have pretty much every single high level weapon now and only missing a superb life drain ring, and besides acquiring a duplicate blade of red birth, agony, and wicked grace, I feel content and at peace with rngeesus. Would I do it all over again? hell no. Too much of a grind for little compensation.

Just to give you some comparison, I've spent 900k gold and only have 2 top teir weapons, (which I only got recently) I'm using a level 15 blue axe and a level 13 purple shield on my legionnaire still because I haven't been given any alternative with all this gold spent and I have friends with half the amount of gold spent who only need one more for their collection. I completely agree, there's very little reward for so much work.

So far I`ve seen only one purple out of the ingame room chests - turned out to be some useless low level weapon, but purple nonetheless.

1 bow, 1 dagger that has now been replaced by a blue dagger, 2 staffs that have been replace by a blue, and one belt the hp one . I am about to give up getting mundane now...

It's pretty easy to get gold without buying it with real money. I would suggest just keep grinding and don't think about it. most games are rng so it is what it is, getting mad or upset won't help anyone get drops but I do understand the frustration. Just keep chugging at it and eventually you'll get there.
It's true, good days happen / will happen.

(ok, it was a rune and a resistance ring, but momentarily exciting nonetheless...)

only useful things I get from those chests are crappy grey items which I turn to crafting materials and some blue weapons. That's it.
Never got new character unlock.. I never got purple Item, Never got any useful "wow" item.

We've done some balancing to the chest drops. You should be seeing items better suited to your level/playing time going forward. Please keep the feedback coming.

Hi Billy. Sorry to be a pain, but can you please define 'going forward'? Does that mean the changes are now live? Live with the next patch (which patch?)? Going forward from the install of Black Emporium? Any clarity appreciated!

The drop rates have already been changed as of thursday last week.
St. Luke will be looking more in depth going forward as well

I've opened 30 chests since friday and i've mostly noticed that i got almost no level 1 items and got more character armours then i've ever gotten before.
I hadn't played the MP for 2 months before this weekend, and so far i'm pretty satisfied. 30 chests is too early to say i've noticed a significant increase in good drops, but so far it feels more satisfying to open chests.

I've opened about the same amount of chests and tbh honest yes it seems there is an increase of good drops , but there is still the highland dirk and partizan bow twice in a row from 2 big chests and nothing else than whites. If i happen to get a purple is either a rune or a low level purple wich is as useless as a highland dirk . This chest=RNG system made this game more of a grind than the famous korean mmo's and that's saying something .

The rebalance doesn't sort the issue of duplicates, I got a level 21 unique yesterday, started to get excited then realized it was my 6th griffon bow. that was the only good thing to come from my chests after I spent 70k yesterday.

Pretty sick of duplicates myself. I have 8 longbow of the griffon, but 0 one-handed level 20+ uniques?
Comeon - please fix this broken system. It's horrendous.

At least you have one, or any purple for that matter. This game flat out won't give me any loot that isn't a grey. At all. I hope they have something else in mind with these chests because the problem with loot is really awful.

Super sorry to hear that - totally feel your pain. Had a friend who was playing just as much as us, but for some reason - while we got level 20 rares and what not, his best item was a level 13 common. Because of his low gear we had to keep hammering at routine, even though we wanted to move up to threathening. He finally got a level 17 rare and we figured that was good enough.
We play mainly just the 3 of us, since we are friends in real life.

There is nothing stopping a group of friends for taking it up a notch. Gear, or lack thereoff, should not be an "excuse". Worst case he could play one of the mages or the legionnaire while getting promotions and gold.

Problem was that he only plays what he wants to play and he insist on not being boosted so he out in the front all the time. That did not work with bad gear and he would often die. Now that he has better gear (and reasonably enough, better skills) it goes a lot smoother.

I think it would be nice to make achievement based gear rewards rather than just a decorative nameplate, that way players who put in alot of time toward a goal at least have some sort of light at the end of a long dark hallway.

What will u say about 2 and 5k chests with "improved" items? I've opened couple of them and got nothing, didn't see any difference with ordinary 1.2k chests.

I've seen a few purple drops in the 5 5K chests I've bought. Nothing I could use of course, but the inproved loot drop was there.
Besides, the point is not the improved items, it's the dragons lure, which are a steal compared to mat costs (For most non-1337 players who does not have 255 of a given resource stockpiled). We have alot to spend our resources on now.
