Sure, but it is a fuss, it's easy to mistake and it gimps the spec immensely. You need to always check with the tac cam which targets are still weakened and then you must be sure that the AOE spells in the Rift spec (as Pull of the Abyss that's immensely useful) never hit those targets.

 

If you don't want to do this then you can use only one Rift spell at once per encounter (because the average duration of normal encounters last less than the overall duration of weakness, even on Nightmare).

Yeah, the whole concept of Rift Mage is to apply weakness constantly so you get unlimited mana to cast spells

Bah, this is strange. I never got it to do it and I'm playing on Ultra settings. I noticed that the skill actually worked but the lighting bolt never appeared to me. Later I will try to repair the game as that could be the issue. Sadly however I will not be able to test it for the moment because I lost my mage save and I'm not going to restart it for now.

Read somewhere that There is another downside of Stormbringer, the 15 second CD is hard CD that unaffected by any CD reduction.

Speculation: If two or more of the same rank/kind of enemy are present when one of them is charmed, all of them are marked with blue circle. Only the charmed one is in fact friendly, while the rest remains hostile despite visual indication. 

 

Honestly, and find good fun in charming the one I want, its beyond me why mages cant control charmed characters. Often, say 1/3 of cases, its hard to tell if charmed character does anything beneficial to the party at all which makes the whole concept of having a minion broken. I mean I plan it that I can charm Venatori spellcaster to help me and he just stands there mumbling something in "latin"? Let me use his stuff, for 45 sec, cmon. I could also cast Mark and be done with it.

Pull of the Abyss can teleport or throw enemies in random directions when its duration ends.

 

Using abilities on any character will randomly teleport them if they are on uneven or elevated ground.

 

And this is more of a visual glitch many are probably aware of: Reloading a save causes the Knight Enchanter's Spirit Blade model to disappear until you zone into a different area.

immolate, for example, definately combos.

 

You're the first person I hear say that Immolate works as a detonator. So -- for example -- if you use it on a sleeping target, you get the Nightmare combo?

Weird! It works fine for me, but no lightning bolt animation, just a blue spark. Possibly because PS4 has lower graphical settings than a PC.

Could be I have almost all the settings set on ultra. I'll check it again later, maybe I'm imagining it! xD

On OP stays "Trust the Steel" does not work. I cannot confirm this. Yesterday, I tested the skill with Blackwall. Completely unspeced was his armor at 270. Than I speced "Trust the Steel" and get some block (Challenge goats in Hinterlands) and the armor goes up to 324. Than I speced Adamant from Champion spec and it goes up again to 388.

 

So at least for Blackwall does "Trust the Steel" work. But remember, You will get the armor bonus only if you have active block and this is also mentioned in the passive description.

My observation led me to believe that this was an intended mechanic based on the size/attributes of the target, or in some cases, the hook hitting environmental obstacles in flight (including a shield). Or is it that some people are experiencing intermittent grapple failure... (IGF... it happens to everyone some time or another).

 

Multiplayer

 

Reaver - Rampage heal effect will randomly stop working. 

 

Jars - AoE attacks will break them, single-target is spotty.

At least on paper it doesn't add 25% armor penetration to your stats. Damage should be checked before and after picking it

i wanted to make a thread about descriptions only,because there are so many things to say about it

Many abilites doesn't show higher % when a ring is equipped but damage is increased (at least for those i tried)

You're saying that the damage increase isn't updated on character attribute screen, but you didn't compare before/after damage differences?

That's... I don't even know what to call that -- a terrible tooltip, I suppose. They're pretty common, would probably take another thread just to list them all.

Item Bonus on belts does not appear to work quite perfectly; drops the extra slot after resting (or possibly after Fast Travel to Camp?). This requires a bit more ingredients for the refills, but nothing earthshattering.

Resting, fast travel, companions leaving the party when you get to your camp. All of it drops that extra potion/tonic/grenade. On both player and party members.
