Thanks for the clarification. I'd say it is working fine, though it's a bit odd that you have to press it twice to get it to actually apply. I was just expecting it to work the same as in DAO/DA2.

I'm doing damage with the combo
Freeze-Shatter using Mighty blow but the damage is very low i just did 22 damage to an undead. yes he has cold resistance but 22 is too low anyway
Stonefist applied the combo after a stun (pommel strike). The damage was good. i think it can be equal to the damage done with stonefist itself (both were between 600 and 600...the undead was vulnerable to spirit)

Is it that they will keep casting as long as they have >50% *before* the current spell cost is counted? If so that kinda defeats the purpose of the reserve.

this game is a mess, dont try to Play on nightmare, bad ai and bugs will drive u crazy... i hope there will be some patches to fix this
it's also simple stuff like hitting the target, skills constantly miss my Targets because the game is too stupid to fire the skills on my actualy targets, taunts and froozen touches flying around everywhere but not on the enemies ![]()

Regarding Stonefist, did you get a chance to see if it works properly in Shatter combos?
As for Mighty Blow and Whirlwind, I suspect there is a decimal in the wrong place or something of the sort, resulting in either 1 damage or minimal damage in some combos.

Assassin's "Gaps in the Armor" doesn't actually increase the character's Armor Penetration. Unsure as to whether this is just a tooltip bug, or the ability doesn't work at all.

A few posters reported noticing a damage increase after taking the talent, so it seems like it's a tooltip bug (I didn't confirm this myself).

Just as an aside, has anyone encountered the Focus perks randomly deactivating and stripping you of any focus above 100?
Cause I get that a lot, esp when zoning to skyhold and back.

Never see any if this. Archer and Mage skills are guaranteed hit uf you have proper target, for warrior and DW rogues you need a bit of positioning but nothing major

No i just tested warrior-mage and it doesn't work alwyas. i don't know what is the problem. I mean...i tried vs undead and it lways worked but now i was fighting a fire deamon (rage?) and it didn't work

A bunch of masterwork effects don't work either. The one that has a chain lightning on hit doesn't actually deal damage. Fade Touched Quillback leather reduces your health to 12, but does not reduce the damage you take.

I equiped my level 10 Vivienne with an Energy Barrage Ring (+30% damage) and a Static Cage Ring (+30% duration) - tooltips of the abilities do not change.
Is it known whether the enhancement rings work?

Mage Issue:
Is anyone else having an issue with fire mine? One of four scenarios will usually occur:
1. Fire mine will work properly and trigger when enemy is near.
2. Fire mine will disappear completely after being placed, no mana cost.
3. Fire mine will disappear completely after being placed, mana is used.
4. A fire mine is already on the ground but has not been triggered, I place another fire mine down in a different spot, the original has not been removed and the newly cast one is gone, mana is used for newly cast fire mine.

Mana Surge
- Sometimes does nothing when barriers are destroyed. Chaotic Focus passive may be responsible for this, at least in part.
In order for a barrier to be destroyed, massive damage needs to be inflicted. Over 2k in a single hit.
It might work vs. Revenants, Red Templar Commanders and Demon Commanders in MP; they are the only mobs I know of that can do that kind of damage.

There's been many reports of them working intermittently or working for some and not others. In my game, some work, some don't. It's kind of a huge mess which is why I didn't even start listing that stuff.

Re Dance of Death, to add to the observations:I'm using it with an archer; seems to work fine if the kill results from regular arrows, but not if the kill results from using an archery ability. (Have tried it with Long, Explosive and Stunning shot, but not Leaping Shot. And I have not tested it systematically.)
Perhaps the issue is that it doesn't work on abilities? I could swear I saw it work with Twin Fangs, but maybe the kill was on an autoattack immediately following it.

Wait, so if apply weakness while an enemy is already afflicted with weakness then it loses weakness and becomes immune to it for 20 secs? What the hell? That kinda ruins the rift Mage build I was working on.
It's not that bad. At least the mana restoration part still works

Can anyone confirm whether Rampage focus ability from the Reaver tree now no longer requires 2H weapons? (as per patch notes)
Also, anyone notice anything new with the patch that wasn't included in the patch notes? I'm trying to see how many, if any, of the issues were addressed in this patch.

Stormbringer doesn't work at all, I've never seen a single bolt of lightning for it.
Immolator rarely works, I must have used freeze then immoliate hundreds of times and maybe it detonated twice.
seems patch 2 did not fix these.
