Why Beige?

I mean, of all the colors to make the casual outfit, why beige? You could have gone with so many other colors and the outfit would have looked decent, at the very least. Gold accents go with just about anything and you choose beige. Are you trying to make me barf?

Throw it in the trash and start over. I'm thinking a deep crimson, maybe black for the broodier among us, keep the gold accents, although silver would work just as well. And toss those atrocious booties off of the Skyhold ramparts.

Surely I can't be the only one who feels this way?

You are not. It also looks absolutely ridiculous on everyone besides human males. Hopefully they patch in the ability to wear your armor in Skyhold or make casual wear DLC.

Looks fine on my femdwarf, it even has boots and in no way reminds me of sleepwear.

They look enough like Pyjamas as it is without adding colours.

You wear pajamas studded with gems in awkward places?

It should have been black or white in color. It would have looked more commanding and more official.

It looks like crap ass pajamas regardless of race.

I can tolerate it on my Female Elf, but on my Human Male it looks embarrassing.

How on earth did people from Bioware look at that design and think "Yeah that looks great!"

I do think the colour could be better, even just changing the pants and trousers to black would help, having the jacket and trousers in matching beige is not a good look.

Its strange because the dress uniform at the winter palace is so nice - what went wrong with the casual?

Everyone knows beige is the least offensive colour.

Beige?  My male elf's pyjamas are dark grey with beige boots... is my game bugged?  Something different in the PS3 version maybe?  That said, it looks a lot better than the beige ones I saw in the Twitch demos pre-release... I thought they had officially changed it, but I take it that isn't the case?

It's made from Nugskin. It's the same color as those big juicy helpless soft and supple large Nugs from the Storm Coast.

Hahaha i knew what this thread was about just from the title, i thought it so much myself. It wouldnt be so bad if the top part was a different colour a cream or red or well anything other than beige.

There's too damned much beige in general. It's even stuck on the armor sets, and most of the time (Hello, craftable defender/vanguard heavy) you can't change it.

Because pretty safe choice as it's likely to work in every lighting/scene and with each skin colour you can select for your character?

Makes you wonder, they put that effort into the crafting an the schematics but dont allow you to "customize" the home wear through it, really does sound pretty weird

I especially wonder about this, because the "default" inquisition colors seem to be black and white (see the banner) but the only one who ever seems to wear it is Cassandra.

It's because a certain companion stole our breeches in Skyhold.

Yeah, it looks equally bad no matter what race you are or lighting you're standing in. Mission accomplished.

Yeah, our casual outfit is pretty terrible. However, Bioware must be aware of that by now.

However, what do you think of that formal outfit our characters are wearing at the ball? My male inquisitor actually looked like a Disney prince, but in a good way :D  I'd say that something like this (ok, maybe without the sash) would be just as awesome to wear inside the keep.

My guess:

They wanted to leave something to do for the modders.

The game is moddable, right?
