The final two Ocularum are not activating in the Hissing Wastes.

 

They are not showing up on the map at all; they are located in the The Sand Crags and The Cove. If I approach them they are not lit up, and viewing them gives me a 0/0 Shards Found meter.

 

I know I haven't already obtained these: I have only found the four Shards from the Ocularum on Rock Top Ridge (1 Shard) and the Sunstop Mountains (3 Shards).

 

Any ideas? There's no way for me to reload an earlier save from where I wasn't in the area without sacrificing hours worth of play.

 

This is for the 360, so no console commands either.

So, now the Shard quest and the Forbidden Oasis quest cannot be completed.

First post here to say that I have the same problem.

I don't have any Ocularums on the map and the last one at the Sand Crags gives me: 0/0 Shards.

 

So, impossible to complete the quest like Arisugawa.

I'm missing one of the Oculara too. It's not showing up on the map at all. I'm playing on 360.

Hello, I thought I had encountered just such a glitch myself, because there is a glitch that causes one of the ocularums to stay on the map even after you've located the shards and collected them with it. However it turns out once you collect the shards that have been located by it, they're not counted anymore, so once you've collected all of that ocularum's shards it will say 0/0. Use this map to make sure that you've gone to all of the ocularums, as some can be hard to find, even once you've found every area (not to say that you haven't encountered a glitch I have not, as there are quite a plethora in this game).

I collected all the shards except 2 of them (6/8 for the area).

I already go at all places of ocularums, and all of them said 0/0.

the one in Hissing Wastes on Lonely Light Crag is now showing 0/0 and the skull is not showing up.  The one up on Summerstone was working.  I cant seem to find the 3rd one.

Same here, sitting at 6/8. Ran around the map for hours . :| Guess I'll move on... Have to come back to it. But my Nightmare Completionist Playthrough is suffering now. Plus the Shard Quest has become a welcomed equalizer with the dragons. I'm severely bummed right now. May move to another game until this is fixed--I don't want to progress too far and be shutoff from completing this quest.(!) XB1

Woohoo! I left. Slayed the ravager in emprise de lion (@lvl 23). Came back and it reappeared!!

I have this issue as well.  PC. 

 

EDIT: Scratch that. There is a hard-to-find oculara that does not "ping" the map until your character is very close to it.  Its near the left wall north of  the southernmost camp, not near any other landmarks. Coming up from below it, I saw it glint and got closer, then saw for sure it was an oculara before the map marker appeared.

 

There are four oculara in the hissing wastes, be sure you got them all.

The oculara are always available in every area, no prerequisites.

The southernmost one doesn't appear on my map and it shows 0/0 for shards. I've done the other three.
Redbear said about killing a ravager, so I'll try that next.

Yeah, that was my first port of call. The southern one does not appear on the map. I've looked through it, hence I know it says 0/0.

If you are at 5/8 and have picked up all shards you've located, you're probably missing the Sunstop Mountains occulara.

*Yes I did, I was reading the map as though the first ocularum you get to is number one on the list.

Thanks a lot for the map!! My map/minimap didn't show neither the "interesting something" mark nor the oculum skull, but after I found it, everything worked

Reviving this because I got hit by the stupid 0/0 bug as I just found out... Sand Crags Oculi decided it spots nothing.

I had this occur on the Storm Coast, at the one near the starting camp.
