Did anyone ever catch themselves taking a deep breath after some decisions or feel themselves freeze up when encountering others? You know what I mean. The times where you are confronted with questions and choices that you KNOW will have a lasting impact
I just reached a point on my Rogue, which is my main playthrough at the moment, where I had to take a break after doing 2 big story missions. I won't post spoilers so no worries there, but I will say its the missions I am talking about are the ones that had heavy implications in Orlais and the other involved the wardens. Those of you far enough will know what I mean. The decisions were enough that I felt burnt out on that character. I felt as if that was enough to do in one sitting and loaded my Mage in order to blow off some steam.
I felt the weight of those decisions. The game did an excellent job of making me hesitate and making me thoroughly think through what it is that I am doing. I love that the answers to such questions did not come easily. I found myself worrying about little details and how the character I created would react in such situations.
I care about the people that surround me and I care about how my decisions affect them. In my opinion such a thing is one of the best things you can experience in an RPG.
So did anyone else find themselves hesitating or stressed out when confronted with obvious turning points in the story?
