So, this is kind of a small and petty complaint, but...I really miss all the item descriptions that DA:O had. I noticed they left them out in DA:2 also, but I thought (optimistically I know) that they might bring them back for this one.

Even the generic little blurbs that a plain old iron longsword got did a lot to help immerse me. Now almost all the weapons, armor and valuables feel bland, even the ones with interesting names or specs.

I want to know the stories behind some of these things we pick up and stash away in our inventories or sell off...maybe I'm weird but I love the lore aspect so much that it bothers me when something that *should* have a story, doesn't. I like to read and it was one of the things I enjoyed from DA: Origins so much.

Obviously I'm not expecting them to go back and insert hundreds of descriptions but I was just wondering if anyone else misses these...

Agree completely.  Every Bioware RPG has had item descriptions...DAI has them for purples only, it seems.

Sorry, I was hiding because this is only my 2nd post and my insecurity couldn't handle it if people disagreed, haha.

Good to know I'm not alone though. I feel a bit whiny for commenting on it since there really is a lot of reading codex-wise, but I can't help that it still bugs me.

Especially the valuables. Like, I know what an amethyst is, but is this particular amethyst a clear, crystalline purple that reflects the beautiful visage of my Inquisitor's face? Or is it more of a deep, royal violet akin to the shade of freshly-spilled mage blood?

Inquiring minds want to know.
