As many of you well know, on the rollout of DAI, There have been a tremendous amount of connectivity issues especially between friends.  Random successes connecting between players, difficulty getting a group, and overall instability.

It is very possible to circumvent most of the above stated with a relatively simple fix.  Let me lay it out for you as simply as i can.

1. You will need to open Window's Firewall with Advanced Security.

2. Create new rule, under Inbound connections

3. Program rule -> origin install folder -> igoproxy64.exe

4. Allow appropriate check boxes (all for a standard user), name it something like Origin for reference sake, and press ok.

The reasoning for this is as such: When installing a game, new or old, most add firewall exceptions as a baseline isntallation feature.  For security reasons (most likely) Origin, and as i have discovered today, Uplay, DO NOT add themselves to your exceptions.  This means that in order for them to successfully connect, they have to "get lucky" and find a host with the exact same settings as yourself given your own ISP (Internet Service provider) differences.  In taking this action, you effectively open your connection to all available sources as opposed to that which the game runs on by default, and enable all features as i like to say.

Caution should be taken if you are on a public network, or have weak computer security to begin with, but if you are already behind a DMZ, Proxy or other server, most likely it won't be a big deal whatsoever.

Hope this helps, and please bump it up if you find that it has been useful.

Good day, and happy gaming!

I have just done it. Will play some games to test it now.
Of all the several gamebreaking issues, not finding public lobby and not connecting to friends (particularly overseas ones) has been the worst for me. Hopefully this can be addressed.

I can say that at the least for the past 2 days this solved almost all my connection issues.

 Thanks for the tip :-)
