Why did we get a stupid lousy painting of Oghren's concept art which can be seen near the bar at the Hanged Man in DA2 and not even a freaking reference to his entire existence in that game? What the hell gives?!! Bioware could have made him a stinking cameo just like, Wynne, Nate Howe, Zevran, ect. Oghren could have given us an update on how his new wife Felsi and kid are doing. (if persuaded to be part of their lives) and so on. It all begs the question, why wasn't Oghren in or even at the very least mentioned in DA:I game and DA2 then?

When i did that quest finding Nate Howe and he mentioned a Dwarf that was with him, i was hoping it was Oghren and to my surprise it was some dumb cousin to the Glavonak Bros. I was very disappointed that they got rid of Oghren in favor of Varric. Oghren was just as capable of telling a story as Varric is. In fact, having a drunken Oghren telling the story of The Champion would have been hilarious. Oghren is very much missed by me. He was a legend in his own mind and utterly hilarious. It's a shame Varric is being carried through to Inquisition instead of Oghren, who I actually cared about more then Varric. I really need some closure on Oghren, he was my favorite companion in Origins and Awakening.

Dude you posted the exact same thing a while ago why bring it up again? As much as you might like his character bringing up a second rage thread in an even older part of the forum isn't going to change the fact he isn't there.

I don't care... It doesn't mean that Oghren doesn't deserve a freaking reference to his entire existence in DA2. I mean what the hell man, were the writers really that stupid that they forgot to mention him? It's bad enough that your warden gets all the talk and he/she is still a no show in DA2 and DA3.

I've read what you were saying in your previous thread but after a while it just sounded like a lot of angry ranting that didn't really go anywhere, personally if I were a BW employee who happened to read your comments I would feel rather ticked off then inclined to listen to what you have to say, it's the difference between going into your boss' office and yelling at him about why you haven't gotten a raise yet versus suggesting why you deserve one in the future, both address the same issue but would get very different results.

I do understand wanting to see more references to older characters, one that comes to mind for me is Ser Cauthrien (Logain's lieutenant), while she didn't get much screen time I do wish we could have seen what happened to her provided she lived, I always imagined she would become a Grey Warden herself if she lived so she could continue to follow Logain, otherwise if he was executed she would have appeared at the Hanged Man instead of Alistair (which would have been utterly heart breaking). Think I'll actually go suggest that in the keep feedback actually.

To qoute on the other board, If one didn't recruit him, I'd be okay with him not being mentioned. If he died, at least i want Felsi mentioning how she told him so. If he's a warden, at least i want to hear a recruit saying, "Of course I'm good with an axe. The head of training at my outpost is this old, drunken dwarf that helped end the blight. He doesn't take combat training lightly."

Still it's better then not mentioning this character at all. I mean is that too much to ask? Are the writers of bioware really that ignorant to these characters? I guess the Developers so called vow to their fans that, compared to its predecessors, the decisions they made throughout the series will have a greater impact on the story and that the player will be given more control over their gaming experience was nothing but a bold faced lie.

That's because im the only 1 that's ever brought this up and no one else is there to back me up with valid points cause everyone is an oghren hater...

Oghren, Velanna, and Sigrun are all still back in Ferelden running the Grey Warden camp.

That's just your speculation, i'd rather hear it from some NPC banter.

Given that the final bow was put on the game two years or more ago, not very likely.

Cross your fingers that he'll show up in Inquisition. But until then, it's a reasonable guess that he's still kicking darkspawn ass and drinking ungodly amounts of alcohol.

I hope your right, I really don't understand why in my playthrough of Dragon Age 2, it's treated as if Oghren did die in Vigil's keep assault a second time for no one to mention him. I am tried of seeing Oghren getting the short end of the stick. I find it unlikely that those involved in the fifth blight would just drop off the face of the earth. I would prefer talking with them directly, but war table missions, codex entries, party banter, NPC banter, That's really just something.
