Other than what other people have said...

If you have the Inquisitor (warrior or rogue) choose to tell a story during the Wicked Grace game, the Inquisitor says that Lucille is famed throughout the Free Marches for her love of Antivan Opera. After the screen fades and then fades back into the end of that story, the Inquisitor says his aunt refused to speak to him for a long time afterwards. So whatever the story was about had to do with embarrassing the aunt at an opera.

Are mom and dad still alive? Why haven't we met them, not even at the end of the game? I always pictured Bann Trevelyan like Tywin Lannister but poorer.

I doubt we ever will. I'm not sure if exact reason, but in DAO you're family are white, but say you wanted to be dark like a Rivaini (African-American?). It'd look seriously out of place. This way, you can make up your own family background.

Tywin isn't exactly religious, but i kinda pictured them Lannisterish too because my Inquisitor was blonde with green eyes lol

Funny you say this, because I named my Templar Jaime, and gave him blonde hair ^_^.

Hehe, you're not the only one. I saw several people doing that or making a Champion named Jaime

Also seen some Tyrion & Brienne of Tarth too.

A Trevelyan family gathering...

Just substitute 'Maker' for 'God' and 'Andraste' for 'Jesus.'

I didn't picture them that way.

I kind of pictured them like Cass does her family. "They pay lip service to the Maker.." But in the end, they're just frilly nobles.

I kind of like when talking to Josephine about getting your parent's support you can say "Sure. They're super religious." or "Sure. They love politics." It gives some wiggle room in thinking the Tervleyans are close with the Chantry more for the connections than faith.

I tried Tyrion, but he didn't look right. I also tried Kili from The Hobbit, but something felt off. So, I went with a human Templar alt. Looks pretty dashing in Templar uniform.

The Trevelyans seem to be a bit more devout than the Pentaghasts though, in that a lot of the members of the family who aren't inheriting land and title apparently go into the Chantry priesthood or to the Templars. It's also said that you were expected to follow a similar course in service to the Maker. Of course whether or not your immediate family is a devout as the rest of the family's reputation is up for player head canon. You could always decide your parents were shipping you off to the Templars as a political maneuver (putting a 'second son' or daughter somewhere where they can't challenge the heir) rather than out of any sense of piety.

If we get historical, the Trevelyans are the house of Borgia. TOTALLY. Or that's how I imagine them. A mixture between the Lannisters and the Borgia.

If you play as a human why can you not go there? Can we add it to the list of DLC

Would a Trevelyan's actions as Inquisitor get her named Champion of Ostwick?

Has anyone found more information on the Trevelyans and Ostwick?

The only thing else i have is a list of known members:

  • The Inquisitor (If human)
  • Lucille - Great-aunt of the human Inquisitor
  • Bann Trevelyan - Father of the human Inquisitor
  • Lady Osher Lotharn Trevelyan Bayart - A cousin of the human Inquisitor

  • Dorian - Not known, but still probably a fam-bam member  Very distant cousin? Uncle? :o nein..

Funnily enough i have a blonde hair green eyed Jaime Lannister human warrior also lol but the Trevelyans don't strike me as the Lannisters who are lord paramounts and the wealthiest family in westeroes. The Trevelyans would be a semi important family in the poorest/most backwater of the free cities, Lorath.

In Westeros at best they  would be bannermen who swear fealty to the bannermen who swear fealty to the lord paramounts who swear fealty to the King/Queen.

Ostwick isn't a backwater. Cheese rolling aside. The Free Marches are pretty powerful.

Yeah, Tywin would be a Teryn or a Duke if shifted to Thedas. The Lannisters are more like the Couslands in terms of the power wielded within their respective kingdom. The Trevelyans are bit farther down the social ladder. In terms of status they are more like House Mormont or House Dayne.

You haven't saved Ostwick from anything, though, so you aren't really her Champion.

Alternatively, the Trevelyans use the Chantry as a source for sinecures to ensure that all of their progeny have a position commensurate with the privileges they believe a noble house ought to enjoy.

Really? I don't know much about the free marches i just remember Josephine's betrothed calling Trevelyan obscure backwater and figured it was more directed at Ostwick itself lol.

House Trevelyan wields their ancestral great sword Chedder and hold the title Sword of Cheese. :P

Some Antivans like to consider everywhere that is not Antiva to be an obscure backwater.

Most people hate the Free Marches because they only unit and are cohesive when they're being attacked. They're powerful to be sure, but not exactly cooperative.

Why should they? They like to do their own stuff. It's the states in America, Their united but each govern a bit differently from each other
