I mean how long does it take from the inquisition squatting at haven to becoming the most powerful organization south of Tevinter?

I am going to take a stab at it and say... 3-5 months? I got alittle bit of a reference for time when in western approach the keeps commander told me they'd barley been settled in a week as soon as i talked to them

 

But doubtful of it taking years... what with corpy mucking around and all doesn't seem to lean towards a time of years and years

During Josephine's romance she mentions they've only known each other a few months. So I'd say the whole game takes 3-6 months? Probably close to what DA:O played out across.

 

Honestly, they couldn't really drag it out much. The threat to the world was pretty imminent and it wasn't a DA2 situation where things were slowly simmering until they finally exploded.
