Sera, without a doubt. Childish I can handle if there's personal growth, or SOME aspects of maturity. Childish combined with hypocrisy, bigotry, a lack of empathy, an unwillingness to argue like an adult, and a general "well I know I'm right because I say I am so THERE" attitude makes the one character in Bioware HISTORY I would gladly punch if I got the chance.

As is, I can only verbally b****-slap her and kick her out of the Inquisition.

I'm not one of those people who typically likes killing off companions, but Sera needs to die. She kills whoever she wants, lazily justifying it by pretending to do it for 'the little people', while in reality its just her and her gang of bratty friends murdering people they don't like. I truly felt a need to save the world from her, she is a piece of sh!t. If she had a single redeeming quality perhaps I could overlook it, all of the companions are killers to some degree, but she has none. She is the worst kind of person, lacking intelligence, morality, maturity, manners, plot relevance, self-awareness, likability of any kind. She isn't even funny to me, painfully unfunny in fact.

 

So, if I had to settle for a punch: Sera, with stone fist.

I have to disagree about Solas, I love the guy. As do I with all companions. I just hate Vivienne, tho Solas burns her ass badly. Especially when she says something like,

 

"Solas darling, you should be doing more to help out." Solas: "Oh, I'm sorry Madam De Fer, please tell me how you helped, where this all started -- OH, that's right, you weren't there." I was like BURN beeeautch.

 

Then another time "Solas darling, if you ever want help with proper use of magic. Just let me know."

 

Solas: "Oh of course, could you by any chance direct me to a woman, who, doesn't front load her barriers."

They are super mean to each other, but in a really entertaining way.

Out of curiosity - those people who do not like Vivienne, did you like Wynne in DAO? Because I was expecting a high class b*** but with every conversation I see more and more Wynn in her - old, experienced, happy with things as they were and because of all of this feeling like she has right to judge your actions. 

If you tolerated one what is the problem with another?

I like them both. Viv just doesn't like me very much.   She doesn't have that same grandmotherly patience that Wynne did.

I am generally nice with all companions (hell, I managed to get Skadge approval almost without gifts and without insulting the rest of the crew!) but Wynn was the problem for me in every DAO PT. Vivienne I expected would not bother me but reincarnation of Wynne is really unwelcome.

Does that make Sera the resident troll? Who the hell is the moderator? I'm guessing Bull gets banned for posting dick pics and Cole hasn't quite figured out how to use the keyboard.

Inquisitor is the moderator stuck in charge of the big mess. Sera would probably be the teenager who rants about Anarchism and Feminism without having a real grasp of either subject. They shout a lot and reply with "NO YOU!" when presented with a real argument. Blackwall is the elder member who bought one of the first PC's way back in the day. Dorian is the forum flirt. Cassandra is the mod wannabe who lectures people but doesn't actually run the forum. Leliana is a hacker, Cullen is the popular guy who all the girls fancy. Not sure for anyone else

I'd never hit any of the companions if I had the option to, but Dorian is easily the closest. All breeding and no substance, as they say.

I like both, but I can see how people dislike both. 

 

Wynne was a kind-hearted grandmother type character who had been a teacher for so long that she couldn't help but try and be a teacher to pretty much everyone in the party, sometimes to the point where it's "Mind your own business woman!"

 

Vivienne makes excellent points for the circle, but she is also a scheming high class aristocrat who plays politics for a living is consumed with appearances. She also has a tendency to look down on everyone around her who doesn't match what she thinks is proper. And not in Wynne's grandmotherly way either. She's a rich snob in pretty much every way, and that can be very grating. 

 

As a carpet cleaner in real life, I've dealt with both kinds of people as I go into their homes to clean, and both can get old really fast.

That option of punching the **** out of Solas is welcomed, I don't like him much but I really wanna punch Cole everytime I have to talk with him. He's such a ****** ... >.<

 

I am playing for a mage so being good means I am trying to be on good terms with everyone and everything, including Cole.

 

 

BTW: I really like Vivianne and her attitude. Sure, she's overplaying, but it's still much better fun than talking crap about Fade or Pain, Suffering and blahblah... )

That scene with hitting Solas is awesome. Sad and heartwrentching, but so cool, that the option is there based on decisions. I love it!

 

As for punching? There is one scenario where I want to punch Sera. On her personal quest, there is an option to let her kill the person who lured her into a trap. I said: ok, go and kill that man, for he wanted to kill you. And she literally beats him to death. That was over my Inquisitor's endurance line. (Probably the fact my inquisitor gave permit to the murder made it even more difficult to handle. OOCly I say the scene all in all was well written, but difficult to digest.)

Wynn is nothing like Vivienne. The only thing they truly share is so called loyalty to the circle system. But even then, their motives and reasons are different, even in that.

BTW: I didn't like Wynne in DA:O but she made me laugh several times during dialogues with her (for example when starting love affair with Alistair she made a snarky comment in a way "it's time to let you know where babies come from" or something like that, lmao)

Sera, she's an insufferable brat and the worst of them all. She is like a petulant child, spoiled brat, immature person who thinks she's better than everyone and know everything. She treats other who's different than her with needless rudeness, and she's also a hypocrite person since she didn't really fight for the little people like she claim to do, she can invent that Robin Hood fantasy to cover it up, but she just wants to turn the world into her personal glorified playground, where she can prank, torture and kill people she decides deserve then justify it with "for the little people" excuse. 

Vivienne and Fiona as well.
