I've been moving loot that I won't use and intend to sell to the "Valuables" tab, in order to make selling easier.  However, I often find unusual objects that are automatically put into the Valuables tab, and sell for quite a lot.

 

Is it okay to always sell items that are classified as "Valuable", or are some of these quest/requisition/research items?  I'm a completionist, and I would hate to fail a quest because I sold a quest item before I knew it was even for a quest.

There are some items like that. Like, Malachite, and something that looks like a red icon with a money pouch on it. Those are needed for requisitions at least.

Yes. Do not click "sell all" button as there will indeed be quest related items. I've used it all the time and 50 hours in I have finally realised there are totally items I need for quests in there. I am not even sure how I can get these items back.

All the creature research items get put into your valuables, for some inexplicable reason.

Thanks for the feedback, I think this should change.  "Valuables", is a very misleading term anyway, since that tab works more like a "place for the junk I want to sell".

This problem wouldn't exist if there was a storage chest.

Unfortunately quite a few "valuables" are quest items. It wouldn't be a problem if they were labeled as such (like the research items are).

OMG I've sold everything in my valuables tab. Because they didn't have a discription. I only kept the items that had a zero value. I thought the rest were npc items.

This is just stupid. I kept wondering why I couldn't find anything for my requisitions. Why take away the junk tab?

This needs to be changed with a patch. Quest related or otherwise important items should have their own category, and not be put into the valuables.
