so, here what is on my mind. In a month or two I am going to be employed. And My pc no longer runs any of the new games. It hardly runs NBA 2k15 on lowest specs. So I have been thinking about upgrading it. But then again I told myself that hey, why not buy a console and be done with it until the next gen comes out? ha? iit will cost me lesser than what it takes to upgrade my pc, like a third. So, considering I want to buy only one console, for which should I go? PS4 or Xbox 1? please say with reasons behind your choice so I could read and decide.

I would suggest neither of the two right now. There are hardly any games for them yet. Wait till next year.

It's mostly up to personal preference.

PS4 has a better home layout

XBone has less glitchy updates

etc, etc.

 

Look up some reviews for both and weigh the odds.

I personally prefer PlayStation because of franchises like inFAMOUS and Uncharted, so while I would tell you to go and get a PS4, I'm a bit biased by that fact alone. All I can tell you is that you should choose based on what kind of games you like, what the overall package going to be like once you get it, and whether or not people here can convince to go one way or the other haha.

Look at the games each system offers (exclusives, etc)

 

Also check with your friends to see what consoles they have (if any). if you want to play online with them you will need the same system after all.

 

Also check how the online is setup as each has different features and pricing.

I would suggest waiting.  I have a PS4, but as of right now - there are not many games on either console that are worth "getting".  Plus, I'm biased and would say upgrade your PC

I don't know. Do you like Naughty Dog? Do you like Halo? Neither? Personally I still hold a bit of a grudge against Microsoft for all there pre-release bullshit and I like Naughty Dog so that's why I went with a PS4. Which for the most part I like and am glad I bought.

So what kind of games I like and love to play and enjoy?

RPG games of course

Horror Games

Third Person like Uncharted

And sometimes a game like Battlefield.

I am also a sucker for a good sword or close combat game like Ryse.

It all depends on what exclusives you enjoy, and where your friends play. I enjoy the PS ecosystem because of the JRPG games they have, and they offer more diverse titles IMO.

Not much good titled released now but if i'm must choose i go to PS4 coz Naughty Dog.

Xbox One, my PS4 fried itself two hours into Dragon Age Inquisition, it was only 11 months old.

I would agree with the neither people at the moment.

 

If I had to pick I would lean a bit more towards Xbox probably, but then I also have a grudge against Sony on account of every dealing I've had with them being terrible.

 

Ultimately it will probably come down to which exclusives you want to go after provided you have nothing against either company.

I think it's more of a personal preference. They both have their good qualities and flaws.

 

I'd say Xbox, but that's just me.

I myself am more of a fan of Xbox 1. The only thing that keeps pulling me back is this Yncharted. Other than that, imo, Xbox 1 exlusives are better than PS4`s. I also said the range of the games I like. When I look at it, Xbox covers it more than PS4. It is a hard choice, especially when there are so many diverse reviews online on both of them. Also on the other hand, a company like CD Project Red may more likely publish his next big bang, Cyberpunk on PC. Another loss...it is so confusing. Xbox has so many good qualities in my book. But those two exclusive games....

I bought a PS4 for the Last of Us Remastered and future games like Idolm@ster and Gran Turismo 7.
