I've been doing some experimenting (as discussed in this thread http://forum.bioware...elong-to-ctd/). And I've come to the conclusion that either the effects or skills related to the lightning trees are causing CTDs.
Fire, ice and spirit don't seem to cause me to CTD. It is only when playing a mage using skills from the lightning tree that I get a CTD about every 30-45 minutes. Both rogues and warriors seem to have far less CTDs as well.
