@Tkavatar - Yes, I have the gown. I had to extract all tocs just to find some of the special characters like that. Where as before I only was trying to extract npcs.
Yeah I figured that out and extracted the whole Win32 folder. Which took a really long time to do (I went to sleep after waiting hours and hours because it just wouldn't stop extracting haha).
Awesome work!!!
I'll help you do a mod file to put that in game, if you need my help
That would be cool
Yea, that's exactly what I had to do. I was trying to figure out which toc had what, but it was really scattered all over the place. The conversion process should only take like 1 hour for all tex/mesh if you run both command lines at the same time in two separate windows.
@Adela - Sorry I missed your post regarding Alistair. Yes, I got his mesh files. Let me post him in 3ds, one sec.
I also found another hair texture I missed. Its in an odd spot.
Dump\Bundles\Textures\da3\actors\baseheads\textures\hair
The files are actually named diffuse, normal, specshift (can't open this in cs6), and harianisogradient2.
Also the hair file I used is actually Alistairs, even though it looks just like Cullens...its named a different file lol.
hey did anyone found the complete mesh for the skyhold attire? if so what is the name of the torso, cause i found the bottom but not the top...
actually nvm the bottom is not for skyhold either its from an armor....
@silvist... yea it appears i never got his mesh just the texture

hm_inquisitor_var2_core_0100_model_mesh.
It's in bundles\meshes\da3\actors\inquisitorjim\appearances\var2\models. The female outfit is in inquisitorjill.

SWEET thank you very much
@Adela - If you need or want the file let me know. Most of the starting gear is in the inquisitors folders. Except for the unique ones. I agree the split body parts are extremely annoying to match up. I brought this up to Eham and WV because it was annoying to match up meshes in textures..like hair and eyelashes.
They should be able to come up with a way, since the pointed out to me references in the files say accordingly. Hopefully when Eham does the fbx format, it'll help alot.
I also made a compilation of my work here:

I gotta figure out the spoiler code, cause its not working. But I figure i'll try to at least organize it ;p

Thank you I don't need it atm i was just curious if it was only me that didn't get his mesh, i guess its due to the fact that i didn't let it finish all the way through
i wasn't patient enough
also it says the files doesnt exist..
when i try to see ur work

We need to fix that in the new forum. I'm waititng to see if Eham gives me and Voider some admin access and i can start fixing the tags there ![]()
@Renmiri - Yea, we don't have like buttons either! So ya, please fix! rofl
@Adela - I was editing it. Try now.
I'm trying to figure out a good layout for the page. All I had to play with on the last forum was colors lol.
yea i can see your work now, AWESOME!!!! I SOO LOVE THAT ARMOR I cant wait to have it ![]()
oh and Silvist since ur doing Tera transfers can u put this in too PLZZZ
@Adela - Lol, is that a request? First I gotta figure out what armor that is.
Also if you take a look at the figure in the picture, that is a decent body to work with. She actually has curves
The DA:I body barely even has hips, and that's about it lol. The sad part is "if" the dev made it like that to be easier to shape to...very unprofessional in my opinion.
Cause what were looking at above is a model from an MMO. You can imagine how many different models are in a game of that size and scale. I would expect a single player based game to have superior assets due to it not being as massive as a MMO.
They set a lot of good standards above and beyond what most games have as of now. Though, I don't think they should only do it in certain areas. The engine was pretty enough to knock our socks off, if only they delivered on the meshes. I realize DA:I is huge, but I'm just kinda disappointed with the assets so far.
With the exception of the heads, they were probably the only mesh that its professional in design imo. Here I used to complain about Bethesda..lol bad me ;p
But hey, that's what we modders are here for. To fix these discrepancies, and make the game truly what it should be ;p
Edit: Oh ho, that person does XPS models. Hmm, worse comes to worse I guess I could port it from XPS.
K, apparently its a high elf armor, and unless the description is wrong its called the Ivanneth. Trying to look through the UNP armors I have to see if its there.
Your in luck, I found it ![]()
Alright, I'll get right to it. Consider it a happy bday present ;p
Edit:
Ugh, the stupid caboose is driving me nuts. No idea how it turned out to be a box. Trying to resmooth it, otherwise going to have to start over ;/
I got it better than it was, thankfully there's a mesh that goes over it. Seriously I hate when people hide there mistakes with another mesh lol. Oh nobody will see this cause the belt covers it...
I LOVE YOU!!! And yes i do agree with some of the assets being a bit inferior i guess they focused more on the environment since the game is bigger then the previous 2
im working on some hairs now will post after im done ![]()
@silvist
Yea i know what u mean some times it can be a pain in the arse, but there is no need to rush you have plenty of time ![]()
@Adela - Thanks, but that's not why I'm complaining. Its because the person who converted it, left these issues. I have quite an eye for detail, its hard for me to overlook 1 vert out of place lol. Either case here's how it came out.
Keep in mind this below is how the fur looks with transparencies. I'm not sure how to get it to work like that in 3ds max, cause in nifskope you have an actual line you change the code for, and attach a modifier to give it transparency lol.
What'cha think?
MOAR HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOWLY COW THAT LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Did i say i love you yet? Yes? Well now I LOVE YOU EVEN MORE!!!!
As far as transparency goes if you have a black and white map for the fur get a standard material (not mental ray) and then plug in that black and white map in the opacity slot
@silvist
Yea i know what u mean some times it can be a pain in the arse, but there is no need to rush you have plenty of time
Caboose can definitely be a pain in the arse ![]()
@Adela - Thank you, I'm glad you like it. I'm temped to try my favorite armor, but its extremely difficult. Has lots of sharp edges:
Woot found it:
For males, I'd love to port an armor like this:
This is a good one as well, remind me of Dante from DMC lol:
Now...onto the hair you made. Wow...talk about sexy. I really love the braids, and of course the length! The bangs are really hot to, gotta love it! See that's the kind of hair I was talking about...geez. Now you got me all excited, I can't wait to rock that hair ;p
MOAR HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spoiler
omg gorgeous!!!!
Meh, got burned out on the gauntlets. SO many small pieces to move driving me nuts lol. Take a look:
This is without a doubt where I use the good ole mirror technique. Cause noway I'm doing that twice rofl. But toes and fingers are seriously the hardest to shape to.
I'm also not sure how the engine works. In some the hands are replaced completely by the gauntlets, meaning no shell of a mesh inside. I'm actually trying to make them with the hand inside lol.
@SILVIST WOW me wants that geen armor tooooo
also thank you for the compliment
@ Renmiri1 Thank you
I cant wait for the tool to come out ![]()
