Oh and for those the reason why I brought the issue here was also because I do youtube videos and I have two accounts ( I am also a youtuber ) plus I do Solas fan videos by requests and I wanted to show them the mod and I will give the credits of the mod maker and stuff! :)

Here is my most liked video of Solas X Lavellan by request. Also I am sharing because if you guys want any kind of videos made of your own characters or stuff with anyone or the game with some songs I will be happy to make them :) Just upload gameplays on youtube or somewhere for me and I shall do them!

Shantia, got to Haven with a character using Tex 01, and everything fired flawlessly. So (as you have already figured out) it's Tex 02. SO glad you were able to figure out what it was!

Since I have a save right before entering the War Room, if you want another tester, I volunteer.

I am not mad? I just asked if someone could make textures without eyebrows. would be also nice but I did start the whole game again just to try it out and I said I like it. You are overly sensitive and got me completely wrong. Also I am not the only one who had issues with it and I was not being offensive or being mad about it I just asked if it is possible to fix because I like the mod so much and so do some others that we really want it to work. I was explaining on my issues and just saying that I wish it could be fixed ONE DAY. Not like right away. I have done textures myself I do not blame Shantia because I believe that modding DAI is a lot more harder than ME3. I appreciate her/his? work. But obiviously isn't it a little bit annoying to create a character for a long time and then find out that it doesn't work T_T

Still not Shantias fault. It is the same to be pissed about when on DAI there reads: '' Save corrupted '' and you cannot play and you gotta load an earlier save though you played for a couple of hours... still not blaming Bioware. I love this game.. everyone does mistakes and I appreaciate that people have even started doing things but someone had to bring it up that it had some issues otherwise no one would've known. If I was mad or offensive or trying to be I would act a lot more differently. I am sorry if you understood it wrong but I am not in a hurry and I did not mean anything bad. I curse sometimes... but I usually joke.. I apologize. It comes out naturally to me.

And I didn't think that putting XD <-- meant anything. I put it when I am in a good mood and smiling and stuff. No need to get... all.. mad and offended :o

Apologies if you felt that entire post was directed only to you... mostly just the first couple sentence. Perhaps I am oversensitive at the moment, but only because over the past few days I have seen way more complaining, be it here or the Nexus, toward the modders, their textures, etc. It just seems as if it can't be stressed enough that modding is done more for personal enjoyment rather than to satisfy the entire mod using community, and modders are shown more criticism than they are shown appreciation 95% of the time. When I get on here first thing in the morning and read 2 pages of "my game is crazy glitchy, rawrrrrr, it's YOUR MODS FAULT, FIX IT NOW QQ" I get a little bent out of shape.

Oh crap, I didn't see the new page. I just continued editing my last post on the other page.

Well it should be fixed now, sorry for the bugs!

Has anyone tried the Qunari texture? I can do a quick run through and see if there is an issue, if needed?

Modding scene can be a cesspool, it's natural to grow wary of intent behind responses. You expect it at some point. Honestly I generally feel maybe 5% of users actually have a healthy respect for how much effort modding entails and direct their frustration 'where it belongs' rather than misdirecting at the modder (or the toolset, or the coders for that matter).

Thank you though, I understand where you are coming from, I actually paniced a bit, I read it on my phone while still in bed so I got up as fast as I could to trying to fix the issue. Hopefully it is now ok.

If anyone runs in to any more problems let me know.

It was implied, whether it was intended or not. Putting XD with the statements does not make it less harsh.

Asking for a mod without eyebrows, etc, and all this fussing about the mod not working, how "crazy glitchy" your game now is.... To me, that is more than just "I'm having some technical issues".

Maybe it should be stated again in very bold underscored large font that modding is still in it's infancy stage. There are going to be glitches, bugs, errors, be it on the side of the tools, the creator of the texture or mod, or just the user missing a small tiny step (speaking from experience there.. overlooking the fact that I went too far into a folder rather than just clicking on a folder itself.) There is a long way to go in the development of mods, especially with a new kind of process now with the Frostbite engine, hence the reason for the constructive bug reports.

Reporting bugs is good feedback. But please, people, try to do it with some tact, and keep it to the bugs, or glitches. If it's a personal opinion about the lore friendliness of a texture.. well, no one is forcing you to use the mod.  An opinion about make up being too dark... don't use it. If it's a request to the modder about removing certain aspects of the mod, such as eyebrows.. well, I'm sure eventually if the creator wishes to do that, they might. But at the moment, what we make is mostly testing or for personal use, and most have been generous enough to SHARE the hard work for others enjoyment. Keep that in mind, please.

SheWildWolf, since I was reporting the same problems, I think the entirety of the issue here was one of language, and the impossibility of accurately judging tone in a text post (which I think is why Jane was using emotes, to try to establish TONE, not to try to say "No offense, but" and then say something offensive.) Non-native English speakers often have a problem with subtleties of the language, and it can be hard to use tact when you're not thinking in a language, and don't have a good grasp of the vocabulary. This seems to have been a problem with a couple of other posters in this thread, as well (both of which nearly got banned for it.)

If you completely divorce Jane's initial request to remove the eyebrows from the later (slightly panicked) bug report, I think you might feel less like Jane was attacking Shantia, and more like she just didn't know how to word her cry for help.

Honestly, we're lucky Shantia was available this early to address the issue. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

edit: CRAP! I didn't mean to get you out of bed! I haven't been to sleep yet - it's 8:14 am here.

Oh! sorry I thought it was for me only because you quoted me but no I am sorry I actually read that I wrote a couple of things that way that they could be easily misunderstood. I did not mean anything bad but I agree with that when people do not wait and appreciate your work. I did this one mod for mass effect 3 in summer and since I had never done a texture mod before it was just a hell for me haha I remember doing it every single day from when I woke up till I went to sleep after 1 am for one week. Finally I figured out what was wrong and I got it to work and I was happy haha.

No no don't apologize you didn't even say anything wrong to me! :D haha I was joking when I said that '' I have to complain '' I didn't mean it like.. actual complain! And I can understand that you understood it wrong but it was my fault. I meant only to suggest for some to do textures without eyebrows too if they can sometimes (no hurry) . I don't mind with but I meant like for those who have played for a long time and would not like to start the whole game again from the beginning if you know what I mean! Haha! I appreciate things you've been doing! amazing job! I love you!

I was just wondering.. since you know how to mod DAI. Is it hard to change the colors of clothing? I was hoping if someone could've modded ancient elven robes colors. Not the texture like.. I only meant like different kind of colors. Is that hard to do by the way? :o Is it even possible lol

It is ok, and I understand what you mean about creating a new character, the problem for me is that if I make the eyebrows as a eyebrow instead of a complexion, they will change colour witht he hair, and I don't wanna play a platinum blonde or white hari character with white eyebrows, I like the contrast with darker eyebrows. And also in the eyebrows they seem to just be one colour so you don't get much depth. But I udnerstand what you mean and I been trying to think of ways to do it differently, but I can't think of anything unfortunatley.

And about the armor, I haven't looked much on it, but I think it would be very possible to change the colours.

Just wanted to report back - patched the game, and everything is firing properly! Just entered the War Room in 3 different saves, the first time with Roderick (and the cutscene with the title screen), the cutscene with Cassandra, and re-entered after leaving. Thank you so much, Shantia, and I'm so sorry we gave you an unwelcome adrenaline boost out of bed!

Well it was around 2pm I kinda had to get my ass out of bed anyway :P

Glad that it is working now.

Ok, there are no issues, at least for me, with the Qunari texture. The first scene at Haven loaded fine, the first cutscene in the chantry went without a hitch, re-entering the chantry to start the scene with Cass went fine, re-entering the war room after that scene was fine as well. Went and talked to Varric and Josie after, then again went to the war room and was able to enter with no loading issues.

And by the way Shantia, the qunari texture looks beautiful. I used a preset with no tweaks so I will be remaking mine soon, but will definitely use the texture. You did an amazing job.

Also with the elf texture I am still having problems. When I should to the chantry and get the scene I see black loading screen for 5 minutes and then I just stand in the chantry and I do not get any cut scenes or neither can do anything :S

This is with an elf, using Complexion 02 from the latest download? I can test it here, and see if I get the same thing.

All armor that can be crafted and worn by the player or companions (which, from what I can tell, is almost all of it) has it's colour controlled by shaders, not textures. From what I can tell there is no real colour information in the diffuse textures for armour or crafting materials. The only way to control what shaders do is through hex editing which is possible but I personally wouldn't know where to start. I have only seen Eham and a handful of others do this successfully so far.

I want to learn this at some point but because as things progress with the tool so quickly, anything I learn could become obsolete.

ancient elven armor cannot be crafted. Only bought or found. Sadly :D
