Meh, got burned out on the gauntlets.  SO many small pieces to move driving me nuts lol.  Take a look:

This is without a doubt where I use the good ole mirror technique.  Cause noway I'm doing that twice rofl.  But toes and fingers are seriously the hardest to shape to.

 

I'm also not sure how the engine works.  In some the hands are replaced completely by the gauntlets, meaning no shell of a mesh inside.  I'm actually trying to make them with the hand inside lol.

yea instead of  "wasting geometry" just delete the had part and replace it with the gauntlets, then  whenever EHM comes with the FBX/bone tool u can just use the skeleton to rig that, it would be much easier on you

@Adela - Ya, I could also delete part of the hand, and just line up the rest.   That's a trick I should use more often,  I just love challenging myself I guess.

 

But seriously if you added all the hairs you've done so far, id be in heaven between just that selection.

@Adela - Ya, I could also delete part of the hand, and just line up the rest.   That's a trick I should use more often,  I just love challenging myself I guess.

yea but thats just concept art tho its easier to draw long hair then model it and then deal with the pain in the arse rigging.. so i kinda understand where they are coming from

Oh I have no doubt its a pain to rig, and clipping is extremely hard to avoid at such lengths.  That's something I pretty much expect regardless.  Unless they go crazy like the witcher and add 3 bone nodes to a pony tail to prevent clipping lol.

That texture is 4096x4096 DTX1.  Which means HD textures...heck ya!

 

Holy!  I didn't even realize Eham made his own cas file...as in cas_22.cas @_@  The game excepted it..that's quite a good sign.  Meaning the 1 gb limit they were talking about won't be much of an issue.

No, not a mesh yet that I can see or that he

's posted.  I didn't want to hassle him about when he's releasing it.  Even though I'd go nuts to have it now.  Soon as he says something in regards to when It'll be released, I plan to spread the word lol.

 

Also the format of the texture used was changed as well, which is also awesome.  I wonder if there's a cas limitation,  on how many can be made.  With enough mods I'm not sure how large the file will grow, considering I don't exactly know what's all in the cas file.  Still that beats skyrims esp engine, since it had only a 200 or so limit.

yea idk whats the limitation cause im kinda worried about the meshes too some of them are a bit over 8k polys ... hopefully it wont crash the game...

Ya there was a modder on Nexxus that did all of the Final Fantasy nude patches, he was amazing!

its from now always on the same link, see the SVN link in OP. you will need tortoise SVN or some other SVN tool for this
EDIT: if you dont like SVN, you can go to this URL http://sourceforge.n...Tool/bin/Debug/ and download everything in this folder including all subfolders/files, or click on "Download Snapshot" there

I don't see it in the drop down.  I'm running the DA tool from the debug folder as well.  I do happen to see the res folder in the prior directory, which I'm assuming its supposed to be there ;p

Quick question for the group. I know character models and outfits will be alterable by mods, but I'm wondering if spell graphics will also be alterable? Basically, all I'm looking for is a way to either diminish Ring of pain's inner red spirally effect (making it just a ring or some such), or turn off the spell effect all together. Considering, it's near constant use, and how utterly and garishly it fills your entire field of view as a warrior, I feel this would massively increase the enjoyment of Reaver for alot of people, me included!
