Some were having similar issues with Shantia's face texture and it ended up being the normal map. It could be the same here. Some were able to use it with no issues whatsoever, but other had loading problems. I'm not sure there is a true way to pinpoint what it is when you don't use the same computer they do. At least that is my opinion. IF, overall, , there is only a handful of folks that have issues, but most have no trouble, it's more than likely the user.  Take it with a grain of salt. You state on your description page that no updates, etc would be provided, that it was mainly for your use and you decided to share. Nexus can be toxic, with some users so hateful or insistent that you help them, it gets very discouraging. A lot of times that can be what keeps so many modders from releasing anything there, or at all.

@SheWildWolf: I assume it's only a few. Out of 100 DL's, only about 10 people have said anything at all, and only a few of them have stated it doesn't work, so I guess that's good?

If its at all helfpul i did also try the qunari outfit mod and got the infinite loading screen, took me a while to figure out which mod was giving issues as i added a couple, but it was def the outfit. Im all patched up to date, used the mod manager, made sure i didnt have any other tex mods that would affect the qunari.

 

If i can assist at all, im more than happy too

Absotimbely! You will always have at least 10 percent of people that can't make it work even without all the issues that are bound to occur at this early stage of modding, specially if the game wasn't meant to be modded. 

 

On a side note, after 40 hours in on my 2nd playthrough, i'm gettin zero banter again.. I may start vomiting with rage soon.

I'm at a loss... I really do not know what it could be. I'll look at the n map, but I'm not sure I know enough to see if something might be wrong.

I'm sorry I can't help to figure out the problem. I don't know enough about the normal maps to be much use. I know Otte has a guide to editing textures.. here  There is some stuff about normal maps in there, it may help. For now, if you are too worried or frustrated about what's up on the Nexus, put the mod status to 'hidden'. It will keep more negative comments from appearing while you figure stuff out, if you choose to do that. Keep your chin up. Regardless of the issues or comments, you have still achieved more than what alot of the mod using community is able to do.

The one pt I managed to complete, for the most part, had good banter. At one point, I think it was Hinterlands, they wouldn't shut up. Hopefully with the patch that's coming, that will be an issue that gets fixed.

Has anyone used the Qunari texture I made? If so, has it had any problems? Some people are having trouble and asking for help. I really tried to make it clear that I barely know what I'm doing as it is, but...*sigh* This is why I hesitated to even put it up there. The problem seems to be an infinite loading screen, and that's all the info they gave. Since I'm not having that problem, I'm at a loss.

I've also just realized that a lot of people seems to really hate cleavage, so unless you got patience to endure all the cry, I recommend don't show skin anymore

Thanks, Kamael. I'm not sure, either, but I don't want to try to fix something that doesn't seem broken, so I'm leaving it as is for now.

 

As far as cleavage goes, based on the tarot card alone, it seems practically canon for qunari

I actually don't mind it as long as it's tasteful (it's shown on the human texture I made and will probably be included in the elf outfit I'm planning) It was never my intent to mod for the masses anyway, so that doesn't really bother me.

 

I think I figured out a way around the different skin tones, though. I've just added a sheer layer that shows what I want underneath so it doesn't look as jarring to see it a different color.

Please don't listen to those jerks on the Nexus. I really appreciate what you do. It's people like that who made me ashamed of my breast size. I used to bind them down and I couldn't take off my bra even when bathing for years. It took a long time for me to be okay with being a woman and mods like yours make me feel like my character is happy being who she is and isn't afraid to be feminine. So Thank you for making my play time better.

Vivienne certainly has no problem showing cleavage. Besides, if you don't like something, is it that hard to just ...not use it?

Just as a non-technical aside - don't let other people's lack in manners discourage you from making mods. There wouldn't be any if it wasn't for you to begin with. Even a warning in red letters and 345 pt in the description wouldn't keep people from complaining, and heavens forbid if it's their fault because they messed with files more than they should. Saying that as someone who re-installed games a couple of times because, well, messing with game files...

@Adela    The hair you've been working on.. are you creating those from scratch or are they ports of some type? I noticed the one of Miley's that you posted in the Cullen thread, and I was wondering, if you were indeed making them from scratch (bless your heart if you are, what a talent), would something like this be possible? It seems lore-friendly enough, IMO anyway.

 

 

That one is from a Skyrim mod, and quite honestly I have no clue if it was a port from someone like NewSea or just something made... but I adore that style.. it's basically how I run around looking 98% of the time.

@Kamael - You who modded Solas attire, did you do the var1 texture jammies ? And how did you get his pants from getting green tinted all the time ? I'm going bonkers with those darn pants because I don't want to make a Solas with all white (He would look like Mr Clean) but I don't like the green pants. I want jeans
