The textures I edited aren't in the modding tool. I can export them with the DAI tools, but when I open the modding tool to import them back in, they aren't there. Maybe it's just me?

Can you post the name of some? I suspect its just a case of bundle name vs resource name

In the tools, I found it under da3/factions/generic/textures
Under the modding tool, all I'm seeing there are the flag textures

I can't even find that directory "da3/factions/generic/textures" in either tool. Regardless the files are in "da3/factions/generic/props/textures" in both tools for me

Yeah, I forgot to type the props part. Apologies.
Would running the scan again be worth trying?

Yeah probably, I cant see any other reason why they wouldn't show.
#4007
Posté 30 janvier 2015 - 04:31
Nope, same thing. Go under da3/factions/generic/props/textures and all that's there is flags.

Not for me, I can see the files ur looking for:

So not sure what the problem is then.

I don't know... That is exactly where I'm going. I even re-downloaded the modding tool and scanned on that. Same thing. None of those other textures are showing up either. Just flags.

You know what? The problem is me. *sigh* I owe you an apology for wasting your time.
I was clicking the arrow next to textures. I thought it was like the tools with the + to get to the next drop down menu. Click on texture itself and there they all are. The arrow goes to the flags.
I'm so sorry. They were there the whole time.

Haha, oh well mystery solved. Was just about to say just strike it up to another bug in the tool. But good to know you found them.

I'd like to ask if have any chance to remove that hideous hat from Solas's formal wear during the Orlesian ball.
I'm trying to get myself to do a retexture for the attire, but just to think of him wearing that turns me off completely :/

Not yet, its actually part of the mesh, so can't just be switched off unfortunately.
EDIT: If the texture for the hat doesn't share any other part of the outfit, maybe try making it transparent via the alpha

Ohhhh so I can actually try to make it be gone if is transparent???
#4015
Posté 30 janvier 2015 - 07:03
Maybe, give it a try, would only work if the object already has transparency.

Finally finished my dwarf outfit, although I may revise it later. Trying to get a good screen shot is awful, every time I move around that dirt texture appears and it goes up to the waist, including the arms on a dwarf. I really hate it.

Can't see your pics for some reason but if it's the mud texture, I think it only happens in The Frostbacks/Haven (could be wrong though).

No, I can't see your pics either! And I totally get you on the dirt. They really need to take that out, or give it a toggle. "Feature" that totally looks like a bug.

You know what I find surprising, the fact that until people started suggesting I look to fixing it, I never even noticed that happened.

Is not something huge, is more noticeable in black clothes (which happen to be my favorite color) so turn out to be annoying. I'd love to see the mud gone too.

I noticed it on my first playthrough with the armor you get at Haven. The boots were a dusky purple, and I wondered WHY they kept losing their color when I moved. And I noticed it stayed the same dirt color even when I put on my freshly made armor, until I stood still a few minutes. It irritates the heck outta me. I go to all this trouble to make pretty, colorful armor, WHY would you want to cover my boots (and half my coat) with dirt?! It happens all throughout the Hinterlands, Haven, and I think the Emerald Graves. But evidently not in the Western Approach (where it's all dust all the time.)

Maybe it has something to do with Dropbox that you can't see them?
I think I might work on the collar some more.
