I want to try my had at some texture replacement, but this thread has gotten overwhelming. Is there any one place to find step by step instructions for the clueless. A "Texture Replacement for Dummies" type of resource?
I want to make some Skyhold Pajamas for dwarfs.

I didn't finish the game yet because of that horrible hat. It's like they had to put it in to compensate for the inquisitor's hat's splendor. Eham you're my hero. ![]()

Do you guys know of anyone who's made a mod for elven male pajamas? I had one bookmarked on Nexus but the modder took it down and left a note saying the mod would no longer be supported
The only other one I can find is a lovely Dalish-style retexture; it's pretty but I was looking for more options.

Like an environmental lightmap? ME3 has them for static cast light and shadows.
No, the second stream of mesh data is a condensed vertex buffer that is fed through a depth pre-pass and the custom depth pass for rendering the outlines, it doesn't need to contain as much information about the mesh as the main pass, basically all it contains is positions and bone indices/weights, enough to render depth info.

There are a few outfits that are not limited to race. I personally use this one for those Inquisitors that I haven't found a pj fitting for my taste (for example human males). This is another mod that is not race restricted, and though this is black too, it has no symbol and the boots are white. Other than these though I don't know of anything else that male elves could wear, aside the Dalish retexture.

That was Kamael. I left him a note on our forum offering to support his mod for him. Nexxus can be pretty frustrating.

Huh, for some reason didn't notice the first one. The second one is the Dalish texture that was mentioned before I believe.

By request, I've (beta) released some of the human tattoos I've completed. These are the only three slider-options (channels) I'm looking to replace for humans (in the regular CC) but I will still make variations where the sliders are replaced with different tattoos. This mod will NOT replace the entire original set of tattoos present in DA:I and I have no intent to do this in the future. Tats for the other races still inbound.

To clarify: tattoo_human_01 and tattoo_human_02 are the names of the original textures being replaced, obviously you can only install one variation per set so pay mind when more variations become available in the future or when combining this mod with mods by others that replace the tattoos.

Hey guys, sorry for the possibly dumb question, but... I'm looking through the texture explorer, and haven't been able to find Anora's or Loghain's faces. Do they not have unique head bases?

Loghain defienetly deosn't have his own face texture. Anora probobly as well, not sure 100% though.
Not sure how correct my findings actually are, Loghain has a head morph but correct he does not have a unique face texture, he uses da3/actors/baseheads/dwarfmale/textures/dm_hed_base_d as his diffuse (Dwarf face).
And Anora, also has no unique face texture, uses: da3/actors/baseheads/humanfemale/textures/hf_hed_bas_d
