After giving up on screen shots, I've released my dwarf pajama mod on Nexus. Thanks you very much to ELE for letting me port it from your elf pajamas.
Thanks! I added a link to it.

Looks great Xantara =)
I am in zhe beta =) For those curious, check your Origin gamelisting.

Me, too. I'm going to start a new character for the beta since the character I'm playing now has mods in his saves. I'm afraid I'll mess things up if I try to transfer his saves to the beta, even if I remove the mods (or especially if I remove the mods). ![]()
I assume the beta will have the same patch number (as it's the next logical patch up) as a modded game would have, I'll have a look at the patch numbers once the beta is done downloading.

Ok so yeah, Patch number is 6 but obviously the Black Emp will become a dependency on the save so while you should be able to load modded saves (as they would also have patch no 6), you can't switch to and fro as your official game would no doubt ask for the BE to load them.
Won't say more outside of the beta forums concerning the patch, this seemed innocent enough =)

Yeah, I was checking my email like a maniac today before I figured that out
Glad you guys mentioned that, cause I never look at Origin...almost ever. So with that being said, looks like I'm in ^^
Time to throw a party in Orlais!
Yeah I got in too, so no need to break any NDA's to send me stuff ![]()
And I am, as well!
I'm in the beta too and I'm creating a new game just to be safe. This stuff will already be a little unstable, adding mods into the mix could end up creating a few false bugs.
I think I may go back to one of my early saves with <---this character, which uses Shantia's brows, a jammie replacer, and the save game editor (that let me change her hair color but leave the brows darker) just to see if they'll work. I WANT to see if our mods and the mod manager are patch proof! Of course, I'm also going to back up all my saves, the pre-beta-patched game, and the pre-beta merged patch elsewhere. Luckily I have a 2TB harddrive, so I have room for 2 full installs of the game.
Edit - I'll probably start a new game, as well, to make sure any bugs I find can be reproduced. But I still intend to check older, modded save games too.
Anyone know where those of us in the Beta can discuss the Beta and modding without breaking the NDA?

Not in open forums. I think they created a subforum or something for people in the beta so we can talk about it there I imagine.
Any of the modders, like Eham, want to make a thread for it? Looks like we can start our own threads there...
Can't say too much about the beta patch, but I will say, altho it loads fine in the tools, the tools still need an update to accommodate some wierdness.
Eham, if we alter a mesh do we have to make the alterations at all LOD levels? Or can we just import the highest LOD mesh into all levels?
EDIT: Actually I just realised that wouldn't work because you need the same amount of verts. Nevermind...

Eham, I posted the results of my own testing here, along with some (I hope accurate) answers to questions about installation and previously modded games.

Using your merged folder unaltered is not going to work, just as previous patches it wouldn't, regenerating your merged patch after rescanning the official patch of the beta should work, I see nothing in the official patch of the beta that would be cause for concern, the concerns come in the DLC package.

Actually you can alter only one LOD level if you want, the importer uses the names to compare, so if you want to change only lod level 0, remove all the other LOD's except lod0, but don't alter the name, then only it'll be replaced, but ingame this might look funny, as it will switch between your modified mesh and the unmodified lower lods

I did re-create the merged file, twice, once with .47 and once with .48, and made sure I pointed the Mod Manager to the Beta .exe and had it save to the Beta Update merged folder I made.
Then, to test whether mods work on the new patch, I loaded up Mod Manager .47, pointed it at the new folder locations, and merged. It did so successfully, but none of the mods appear to work. I tried Shantia's Brows, modded jammies textures, a Josephine mod to give her different color clothes, Item Level Restriction remover, Class Restriction remover, a texture mod for Dalish Scout Armor to make it look like Merrill's, and a few others. None of them appear to work. I also tried Mod Manager .48 with the same results. The patch.mft file says Patch 7 (as it should, current patch +1) but no mods load.
hmm.. some how I didnt see that. sorry, I haven't actually tried <Snippet removed by Eham>
Sorry for the double post (the editor won't let me put anything after my quote), but should I take this to PMs, Eham, and delete the above from this "open" thread so as not to run afoul of the NDA?
I wanted to notify you ASAP on this, in case this patch completely borks your modding tools.
For anyone else running the Beta that wants to do so with mods, Eham figured out a work-around. Once you merge new patch and mods, move your Beta "Patch" folder (or rename it to Patch 5 where it sits) and rename the merged folder to "Patch". Mods may affect the actual testing though, so do this at your own (slightly higher than normal) risk.
Jealous! I didn't get into beta. Will have to wait like normal people. The horror!
