That's okay! I was just getting Shantia's Skin and Eyebrows ready to complete the look. Haven't made a female in ages so it'll be fun for me ![]()
I'm a bit lost. Can someone explain this to me?

Edit: I did not participate in the beta test of patch 5 or anything. Why is this showing up?

Yeah, to patch 5. Why is that thing showing up? I mean, it's nothing, just some encrypted nonsense and some Xenon files and that's about it. ![]()

from what i heard they were suppose to release the mirror of transformation but i guess they are still working on it, witch is why it may be encrypted atm with the new update

Ah, that would make sense. Thanks for the reply.
Btw I love your stuff.

Okay so maybe everyone but me already knows about this program, or maybe it's not necessary for DAI, but i just found this little tool https://technet.micr...ernals/ff700229
When modding Skyrim i often had the problem that after restarting the game when i had changed meshes or textures, it would CTD. And it seems that had to do with the difference between the changed file and the file windows had still stored in the "Standby RAM". With this program you can clear that RAM without having to restart your PC, so that's neat ![]()
So I got Adela's hair working in game

Also it doesn't change back to the other mesh during combat or just walking around. It might be because I have mesh quality set to ultra.

I had one issue but I think it's because I was using mods in general not the hair mod. Just after meeting Cullen for the first time but before entering the Temple of Sacred Ashes, the game didn't update with the new objective and I ran down into the ToSA and the game wouldn't progress to the final battle of the prologue.
I reloaded and saw that the objective marker was trying to get me to close the rift again so I headed back that way and the objective updated and I could continue.
Like I said... it's probably a mod thing - not Adela's fantastic hair.
Mr. Jack, actually I notice that in places sometimes when using mods in general...usually when it happens, waiting like 30 seconds or so, the quest will update. Doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen and is one of those things I have no issue dealing with in exchange for a fantastically modded game.
Edit, as usual, heehee...Adela, if you need someone to prologue test, I'd be happy to. I had to deal with a lonesome "child" (aka with 4 legs) for awhile there. ![]()

Thank you so much for testing it Jack, im glad to hear that it doesn't go back to its vanilla state in combat, i guess i forgot to set my mesh to ultra i just had it on high, and maybe that's why it goes to LOD1
also i forgot to mention , that depending on the lights some of the strands of the hair appear darker, im not sure if that has anything to do with vertexcolor or how i positioned them to make the hair
But all in all im glad that i may not have to remake the hair again for a different LOD ... or maybe i should... depending how other ppl's pc's handle their graphics.......

I did notice that sometimes a strand would go a little dark. I think it's the normal map but there's not much you can do if it is as you can't make sure every strand is facing the same direction it did in the vanilla hair without compromising the shape. Anyway it's a very minor issue. I think it looks great!
Maybe you should release the LOD0 first to get people's feedback and then consider whether you want to do LOD1. It's a lot of work to reproduce the same hair again and again and what about people running on low settings? They may be using LODs lower than 1... where does it end? I understand that you want as many people to enjoy it as possible though so it's up to you obviously.
BTW Adela, what more are you planning to do to the hair? Just wondered.
With the darker strands issue you are having...um from what I can see, with you and Mr. Jack using the lighter hair, it looks a bit more...real? Like I've got mousy blonde hair irl, and it's got strands of darker and light in it, and that's what it looks like from screenies at least to me. Um, i HOPE I make sense. i seriously AM very medicated, lol!
Sorry to hear that.... hopefully the person doing the Cullen mod will succeed
Yep they did. Cullen mod available again

I was thinking of adding a couple of more strands so it doesn't look like a helmet lol and then maybe a pony tail

i will send u a pm so u can test the mod and let me know how it works for u
AWESOME!
Thanks Adela, i got that PM, and I have to rescan patch etc to do proper updates. I'm curious how it'll look with darker hair too, I usually go the dark brown/auburn shade personally.
Will, of course, post some screens as well!
As an aside, i THINK I spend more time in the first hour or so of the game due to some little "I don't really care for that chin", or "the nose is a bit off"...so any testing I am willing to do. ![]()
i will make them for males too if u like, btw what do u mean that bi Cullen is not going to happen? I thought there was already a mod out there for him?
If you don't terribly mind, I have a request ![]()
Could you make something like Dorian's hair for males, with shaved/short sides and a swept-up top? (I don't know the technical hair term haha)
You don't have to of course, but that would be just amazing!
And I would love to test your in-progress female hair that could waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than what Bioware put into the game.
Edit: I will screenshot and report results shortly after

No rush! You're doing more than enough already ![]()
I do agree the Qunari are sorely lacking in quality hair
You're amazing Adela! ![]()
Works through cutscenes and during combat. Meshes are set to Ultra.

thanx for testing , i see that it still clips through the ears, i will try to minimize it as much as i can
I have a couple of shots as well, sorry that took a bit...lmao my kitty "children" sitting on the keyboard does not help my cause in trying to play DAI! And i agree with Fizzie Panda, you're amazing Adela. Ear clipping is not nearly as bad as Bioware's own, so I wouldn't stress too hard on that. Also, it looks even more in game like different colors of hair making it look more real, like shadows hit it different...which makes it look more "alive", and is awesome. ![]()
Adela, that hair is beautiful! Can't wait to see what you do with the qunari!
