interesting... got 3 messages today from 3 ppl  with new acc... witch is weird cause i have my acc set to private so idk how they managed to send me a message.... but any who they were saying   that my hairstyles suck, and why did i even considered doing this, I should go get a life or hang myself.....   lol.... umm not sure what to say to that..........

I am so sorry that people have talked to you like that and honestly I really dislike people like that. Odd that they managed to message you even though you have your account set to private though. Well I hope that no one else talks to you like that. 

 

But I would like you to know that I think the hairstyle you are working on is very pretty. And thank you for all the work you are doing to get it working in game.

i understand why people get upset over some mods, theres some mods i disagree with (i would never send hate messages) but.... hair?! really?! wha?! Thats just a bizzarre thing to get upset over.

Ridiculous. I'm a moderator on a DA chat and we've been having a person like that (banning him has become a hobby of mine). He keeps coming in and talks like that without any reason really, though he also tracks down people to creep them out in addition. Pretty pathetic but it's funny to see how he freaks out when people ignore him. These kind of people are never worth any reaction other than getting rid of them before we'd die of severe case of boredom and mouth-ripping yawning. I'm sure their randomness surprised you but I hope that's all and you don't take their words to heart (why would you, you're awesome)

 

And for the record, I keep track of your progress, I'd offer to be a tester for the hair but life's kinda been in the way. But I'm really glad there are many others who test it to help you improve your hairstyle. I can't wait for finalized hairstyles, it's going to be so awesome

Might be worth it to send a PM to a mod with the usernames / screenshots, they might be able to get some info from that regardless of them having deleted the accounts.

That's really shitty but somehow it makes me giggle too, just... it probably took the guy forever to make three fake accounts and somehow get around your pm block... just to tell you you're wasting your time... because he does not quite like the thing you do... The genius of it! It's like taking a ten hour bus trip to some random person, ring the doorbell, tell them they stink, and drive back.

I really, really don't get this attitude over mods. You don't like a mod? Fine. Don't use it. Don't harass people or use it as a way to make a statement. It's not bothering anyone just sitting there, no one is making people download mods they find offensive. Someone took their time to make something and was kind enough to share. Do I really think every frost troll in Skyrim needs a giant, erect penis? No. So I skip that particular mod. Simple.

Yea I don't get it either... we are not forcing anyone to download our stuff if they don't like it.  Its  taking out our time to do these things so its not gonna please everyone, these are our own creations  and what we would like for our  inq, some ppl might like our taste some wont, and some may take requests and some wont. But its a bit juvenile  to make acc to make a statement, as I said before I don't mind feedback weather its good or bad, but i would like feed back that would make me improve what im working on.

Hey friend, well don't let trolls get you down; hey, at least YOU have the honor of being a creative and intelligent person who actually has the ability and initiative to create mods (which is not just mechanical skill but requires an artistic eye, which you clearly have... you are an artist, by my estimate). If it makes you feel better, I got immediate hate on tumblr as soon as I removed the restriction and let anonymous users send me messages. Within the hour, I received the message "You are a sick piece of sh!t for using the bi-Solas mod." That person had to really be tracking me down to know that I'd used the bi-Solas mod, but I wasn't creeped out; I just had a laugh at how they choose to spend their time lol

Mrjack and anyone else who was curious about Equal Opportunity Solas: I am pleased to report the SECOND romance scene (Balcony Scene) is 90% FULLY VOICED for the male inquisitor (at least English voice); there is only one single line not voiced, and it's short. The models matched up really well (I'm using a male Lavellan) and though their lips obviously don't match up perfectly, you can't tell for the most part because of how the scene is "shot." Sometimes it looks like they're kissing "properly," sometimes it looks like Solas is getting naughty and necking your inquisitor lol

If I'm not mistaken, I think the mod creator is following me (I tagged the name of the mod in both my posts to give her exposure) so she gets to see the fruit of her work

Pumpkin, that bug is caused by mods replacing eye textures. If you are using the HD Eye Textures mod, download and install the "Tweaked" file under the Updates section. That file is fixed and doesn't cause that bug 

 

I tried it and you were right! Thank you for letting me know!   

Now all the mods work again!

Hello again, folks A question, if I may. Finally found some time to update my solas-with-hair and tattoo mods, got excited and now also made a long wanted tattoo designs from some beloved arts, aaaand... it's pixelated ><

I could live with that with my previous tattoos, but these ones are more detailed and therefore suffer more from dxt5 compression. I'm gonna try now to import them in 4096, not 2048, but may be there is anything else I can do to fix that? I just don't understand why it becomes pixelated randomly - like one piece looks fine, and the other from the very same channel looks like hell itself. Maybe it has something to do with rgb and alpha channels positioning? I don't even know. Wanted to upload them today or tomorrow, but now it seems like a sloppy work. Any advice would be appreciated. Textures in red-green-blue-alpha channels in case it may be useful:

Update: experimentally tried to import in 2048 without compression, and it worked perfectly O_o No distortion, no glitches, no problems at all (at least at ultra settings). That's strange because the last time I've tried to import face texture in 8.8.8.8 argb32 in gave me a blue face in game (and still does without dxt5). Glad it works with tattoos, but now I'm wondering if there are any possible problems with importing without compression.

Wow, for me it seems that  he should get a life and stop wasting time for being frustrated idiot. 

It's probably someone who is playing on console or just really mean person. Just ignore him, he's not worth your attention.

Btw, I found skinned hair meshes (leliana's, josie's,morrigan's, calpurnia's). Maybe they are worthy to someone as a resource... As far as I know the mesh importer is very alpha and demands that objects and vertexes match exactly and this goes beyond my skills. But it would be really cool if someone could import these into the CC replacing the 75 types of bald hair we got.

I did but never released it. It was just painted on a male skin texture so would show up in the bald hair option. I could never get the alpha right on the diffuse though to be good for all skin tones. Plus the normal looked crap... I am thinking of editing the "shaved head'' mask though it looks like this:

I agree but what I worked on was only half done. I need to try and work with the mask like I did with the eyebrows and then people can use different hair/skin colours. What I showed in game was something like this:

 

 

In that pic the normal is unchanged from the bald hair and the skin tone is created in Photoshop not CC (completely white alpha) so will not match body skin tone. I got really frustrated after a while but I will try my hand at the scalp masks and try and get something better going.
