I've tried the current version of Mod Manager 0.50 and had no problems at all using mods with patch 7, the Black Emporium, loading saves mades with moded patch 6 nor loading saves made at Skyhold after returning from Frostback Basin with patch 6.

 

Everything seems to work as intended  :)

What is your mod list, if you don't mind me asking? It seems like you're the only person who has confirmed their saves to be working with the Frostback Basin JOH issue. Since you have no problems, it would be good to compare our mod lists to yours, since you have no compatibility problems so far.

Yeah I'm still having issues, I even tried renaming the new folder to Patch but that didn't work either. The game won't even launch at this point.

Have you repaired it? I had that problem once, so i deleted the modded folder and the patch folder, then repaired the game and let BW re-download the patch and normalize the files. That fixed it for me.

Zach, I would go through your mods and try not merging them one at a time...I was having the exact same issue, and my face texture was the culprit. But there are mods that cause the issue you are having. Hopefully that helps you.

Yeah I'll have to try that, I remove all of my face mods but something stills seems to be happening. Gonna try to see if i can even start it without mods.

Try adding them in one at a time perhaps? I know i read (but cannot remember which mods are causing it) that mods other than face mods are causing it too...

 

Also, Zhentar, I just tried your 051 mod manager, used one of my face textures that wasn't a daimod file, but it didn't show up in game. I haven't had to do any finagling to get my mods to work other than taking out incompatible mods, and the only distributable mod I added was the face texture mod (which will not work at all when I turn it into a daimod file with the modding tool, even though I had other mods work fine with changing them over). Forgive me if i misunderstood and this was not the aim of what you did there...I am seriously medicated, and meaning sometimes flies by me, lol.

It unfortunately seems to be all the edited ebx mods, such as romance mods, skill cooldowns, armor restriction removals and so forth. At least that's what I was able to see. If anyone has a list that would be helpful. Just happy it wasn't my eye textures (i'm really that lazy)

I know that one of my distributable mods worked great. It was a Pajama mod, though, verrah basic.

I actually have armor restriction and loot mods working fine on my end...I think the Inquisitor leather shoulder pad and trousers color change mod was one that doesn't work currently...not sure on romance mods, but I have all of the female hair mods available right now, armor class restriction and no level requirements mods, discount stores, faster xp mod, no dirt buildup, no sideburns, shantia's brows, Ottemis' Cullen Cheek Scar mod, a couple of pj mods for quizzy, stuff like that. I have aloooot of mods working was my rambly point... :P

That's really weird. I wasn't able to get on until I took them off. I mean i kind of turned them all off at once, but it was stuff like runes for all weapons, the cooldowns, armor restrictions, more items from war table missions, instant wt missions, etc.

I had 6 or 7 mods in distributable patch format that I converted to daimod and the only one that still isn't showing up is "remove all armour class restrictions".

 

I haven't tried it with the new manager in the old format yet.

The zero time war table missions works for me, which is a HUGE god send because I'm screencapping all of them, and all of their options and outcomes for a sideblog on tumblr. If I didn't have the Zero time mod, it would take weeks and not days to do that!

Oh yeah i have that one too, tk! Also, false alarm on the distro mod, my face is showing up after a second try. Also, i couldn't get shantia's brows to work before, but now it does, and it works inside the BE too...

 

Mrjack, i think the class restriction one has been updated by the author to daimod. The no level requirement one i had to update myself though. :) Either way, it seems that this new mod manager is fully functional with the old style mods now, I'd snag that and go with it.

 

P.S. ...Finally gotten to some further testing. When you enter BE (at least for me), and/or use the Mirror, both hair mods and face textures seem to disappear. Don't fear, once I left the BE, both showed back up on my lady. Shantia's brows shows up, but my face textures and hair mods don't till I leave.

Interesting that the brows show up but the rest don't. Huh. 

 

Out of curiosity, which face textures are you using that do work (outside the BE)?

I'm using a face texture Xujja posted on here for me, since at the time i couldn't get the modding tool to work, she packaged it for me. I couldn't get it to work in daimod format to work with the mod manager 050, but the distro version works with 051. :) It should still be here somewhere way back in the thread, since she posted it for me here.

Other people have gotten that error, too. Do you have the Jaws of Hakkon DLC? (i think you do). Both of the other people who had this problem had Jaws DLC, iirc. I don't, and I never experienced this problem. Maybe remove the Jaws folder and test to see if you can craft? Maybe?

So with patch 7, mod manager .50, both BE and JoH installed, I can get into the BE but I can't use the mirror. It just gives me the black screen and i have to CAD out. I haven't been to JoH area yet, so I'm going to try that next and see what happens, and then see if I can pin down what mods are giving the BE mirror trouble that I have.

 

EDIT: Attempt JoH causes game to crash.

I reinstalled the game (again) and identified the point when weapon crafting + mods starts locking up my game.

 

Loading a save prior to completing the Old Temple - was able to craft a weapon

Loading a save just after completing the Old Temple, but before fighting the dragon - weapon crafting locks up game

 

I didn't open up or access the Black Emporium (these are old saves, from a recent playthrough), so (unlike other posters reporting the weapon crafting difficulty) I did not purchase any schematics from the BE.

 

I did, however, complete the schematic gathering/Veil fire rune quest in the Old Temple, concurrent to running through the main quest there. (Those schematics are all weapons, FWIW.)

 

Tested this out with a very minimal mod load (Skyhold outfit and Inquisitor HUD portrait replacers), merged with what I believe is the most recent Mod Manager (0.51a?). And I used the weapon crafting station at Stone-Bear Hold. *still aggravated that there are no weapon/armour modification stations in the DLC map*

 

/useless 'contribution' and YMMV
