So far, so good. Having some trouble with finding where to change the halamshiral texture, but nothing with the tool
Did the tool worked for u with the MP folders in?

don't have any MP downloaded ![]()
oh ok then lol
I have a problem, not with the tool, but where to replace my face texture
if I replace it where I replaced my last one, I'm pretty sure the other people with that face texture, like Fiona and Lord Seeker, will have the same. And that'll just be awkward :S so, I tried putting it on complexions, didn't work either
nothing shows up. The mods work like a charm, just not that one I made myself (typical
)
I don't have a lot of knowledge of the Modding Tool, so I can't give you a complete "review" of how its functioning. Other than that it scanned perfectly fine, no crashes. And that is with having all DLCs including the MP.
I was wondering though if someone could give me a hand. The whole reason I installed the newest Modding Tool was to convert my distributable patch mods in daimod format (which I finally figured out how to do HUZZAH!, anyway) I managed to get almost all the ones I had converted except 2 that are giving me issue.
The first is Softer Solas
It would convert fine but when I went to merge it the ModManager wouldn't let me. The 'Merge' button was greyed out. But when I removed that mod from my folder everything worked fine again.
The second is Inquisitor Leather Trousers
Again, converted just fine. Merged fine. But when I load up a saved game it crashes. It gets as far as actually getting into the game (I'm seeing Skyhold loading in), it will freeze and then crash. Disable this mod, everything works fine.
Does anyone have any clues as to what the problem might be?
that is great, thanx for sharing hope the rest of u dont have any issues either
also one question, when u were scanning did the Data tree appeared on the left or did u had to restart your tool in order to see it?

I had to restart it to see it
Welp.
I discovered why the tool kept crashing when I tried to import my modified hair to a specific race/gender.
The name of the object was too long i guess ![]()
I renamed my obj "SH*T" because I was PO'ed and it successfully imported. No crashes.
I renamed the file to see if I was actually the name that caused the crashes so I change it to "[Race] modified long hairstyle and it crashed.
I'm such a idiot ![]()
hi adela. i removed the mp dlc to scan it and it scanned ok. i exported textures ok. i am getting crashing when i try and import a mesh tho, even ones that should be fine importing like unaltered hair mods.
Welp.

did it crashed with the old tool or with this one? Also lol "sh!t" Usually the name has to be the same as the original when u import hair meshes back like for example if u modify the hf_blabla and u are trying to put it on another race u have to change the prefix to either ef_blabla or df_blabla
or u can just try to do a morph target instead

Thank you for letting me know we will see what we can do, does anyone else have issues with importing back meshes?

The Inquisitor Leather Trousers has known issues with working with Patch 7 and with being converted to .daimod format. It's been noted/reported by several users, but the creator of the mod isn't active that I've seen lately. So, no idea *why* it's happening, but that mod is known to be problematic.

Both. The previous tool and the current 1.31 DAITool

Ah, okay. Didn't see that it had been noted before.

It doesn't seem as if the textures are in it?
Herro all.
I want to try my hand at doing some hair mods using the tutorials (eek, lil daunting, but you never know until you try).
Is blender a compatible software for the textures or can you recommend one for me to use?
Please and thank you!
Hello! Where I can find Chantry outfits and hats for humans both genders?
@Arimathras - Since we are still using the obj format, blender should work fine. I've yet to hear of any issues with using it. I could fire mine up and see if there's any conflicts. As long as you don't apply any smoothing modifiers, you should be fine.
When we can finally get back to exporting fully skinned meshes I'm not sure what format will be chosen. Talk has been of either psk ( Eham and voider used this in the past) or fbx.

I'm not sure if you made a typo on this or what. Blender is for 3d objects, textures would be in Photoshop or freeware like gimp. Most of us use 3ds max for the meshes, which can be free software if your a student. Otherwise blender is a free alternative.
Just thought I'd put these links here:
And let me know if I missed any you all made or use! (i'm sure i did)
