Whenever I import some mesh in 3ds, this is what I get (this is the chestpiece of the PJ)

Does anyone here know if the mods:
No Sideburn (Seems to have been taken down from nexus mods)
are causing issues when trying to load BE?
Ive finally gotten my game updated and modded where it all works. BUT issues start when i try to enter BE, endless loadingscreen
So trying to cut my mods ...but nothing seems to work :/

We know that mods that replace hf_hed_inq textures crash the BE. Teeth replaces all diffuse face textures so it would be on that list of incompatible mods.
That still bugs me to no end. Why would changes to that particular texture make the BE crash?
And why does Skaramoosh's hair texture make the BE crash for any male Inquisitor who gets the 'beard' option in the CC?

Modding for DAI is a trick. We're not actually here to mod the game. We're mining for misery and despair. They go lovely with ham.
Modding sure is a challange!
But when we get it all running, its fun times!
You guys are doing a perfect job! Dai would look pretty boring without all my mods and textures!
Am still trying to figure out tho, if there a few other of my mods that crash me or not...its alot of merges being done!
Does anyone here know anything about uploading images in the description section of mods on the Nexus? It's not resizing the images to fit the width of the page like it does here on the Bioware Forums.
I wish I knew. I think for my one mod, i ran into the same issue and just took pictures out of my description.
How are your mods vis a vis the Black Emporium, btw? Since they're male, I assume no issues, but I just thought I'd check.

@Joyce - That's really odd. No idea why its showing up like that. Is this how it ends up when you export with the new tool, and import into 3ds max? I'll have to give it a test to see if I run into the same issue.
I do notice you got max 2015, which to say is not a bad thing. I just use 2012 and 2013, for compatibility with other game mods I work on. Do you get a text box prior to importing into 3 max that shows all the different lods?

It can be very frustrating, trust me I know exactly how you feel. The trick is to take your time, and learn each step to the fullest. Minor changing in any process can perhaps cause issues. It took me over a year to learn 3ds max well enough to mod with it. Some really skilled modders were kind enough to help me with my first works, and give me some really crucial pointers. To this day I still use them lol.
Speaking of eyebrows, anybody know where those other mods that add eyebrows into the game are? I've only found one and it doesn't look to be the same as the eyebrows I've seen other inquisitors using.

Do you mean Shantia's eyebrows? Here's a link to her Tumblr mods, and you can look at the pictures and then download them if that's what you're looking for.

Can you PM me a picture of what you mean exactly? I'm starting to go cross-eyed with my face 2 inches away from my screen. I can see lot of minuscule flaws and not just in my brows but the vanilla ones too. I don't want to start pointing them all out though!
If you uninstall the eyebrow mod but keep the face texture does the problem go away? If not it's my face texture that's the issue.
If you mean the normal map not matching the mask for the vanilla eyebrows, I was aware this would happen when I modified it because there is only one normal map for 3 different channels of eyebrows. The alternative is to leave the normal map as it is and then my eyebrows don't look as good close up. As your character is the one you see close up the most, I though it better that those brows look better than generic NPCs'.

That looks beautiful Joyce! Do you have a higher res picture though? It's hard to see the detail around the bust because it's a bit pixelated.

On another note. Here's a sloppy conversion of my texture for qunari. I don't know if I'll do it properly because I'm not sure there's a great demand for qunari that look so human.

I've finally done a re-texture of the PJ I'm happy with ![]()

I tweaked a few vitaars from the mod I made a while back (since there are a few I don't like much).

What do you guys think? I edited the vitaars like 8 times already I think I'm too self-critical. ![]()

Not positive if this is what you're talking about, but I think that's just an impression where the orbital bone is on the skull. Brow ridge or something like that. Looks like it's on the model, not the mod.
I just can't see what else there is to improve, but I feel something is wrong with the texture
any ideas?
