k this is a bit odd, the max file works now i can see the modified hair in max and it works to import it into the tool, however when i click the preview button the hair is its in vanilla state

Adela, what version of Modding Tool did you use to import the mesh? 1.31 or 1.27?

yea idk i never had any issues... my hair imports and shows up in game without a problem.. not sure if this is because of the difference in the versions of max or something else
you probably just applied it to one view port instead of all and that is wichever is highlighted in yellow

actually since u've done all these changes (on a new scene im assuming) import a fresh vanilla hair into max and just make one strand long this is just for a test purpose only. then send me only the max file no obj. Also dont forget to save it to a lower version of max and DO NOT change the name of the object in max

you could model in other programs if you want like z brush or something else but as far as exporting goes... yea unfortunately u need max
