All mods expect the loot one are working fine for me. I really need to figure out how to change the loot mod for the new patch. I'm not sure the original author is coming back and from the looks of it, the location of where the loot stats are stored have changed with the new patch. I hadn't realised how much I had begun to love crafting until it was broken. :-(

Of course. I'm not wanting anything but a functioning mod, though tbh, I've had a look at the original mod authors tutorial on how he made it, and I'm pretty sure it's out of my lowly modding knowledge. I'm still going to poke around it though as it's a really great mod that i'd now hate to play without.

Hey guys so are there any changes to how we can merge mods with the newest patch? Because I seem unable to do it, I instantly get 'Task failed. Error reported was: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' after it starts. Is it impossible at this time?

Did you get the latest version of mod manager? Witch is 55? If so keep in mind that this version is not fully stable , and you can't use any mods in the new DLC coders are working on a solution for that and it will be posted here as well when it's done

I'm guessing it's still a bit unstable now x_x. Some mods were giving me infinite loops and I'm now trying to determine which ones. Even the DA2 Cas mod was causing loops for some reason, weird.
And the difficulty mod ;-; noooooooo
On the positive side, the conversation zoom appears to be working.

I tested almost every single one of my mods out in the areas (didn't even bother with the notorious fade touch and more loot) and didn't get a single crash, here's a list if you want it.

I've decided that it would be best to make the More Loot mod from scratch, as I can't seem to import the original into the new Mod Maker without it crashing. I'm not able to save changes made on the lootable items preview window in the tool (have sent off the crash reports about this) but I am able to save import/export the EBX files, so I'm going to try and add things in manually.
Phew, this is a steep learning curve for a numpty like me. I'm totally just going to wing it. Wish me luck.

Regarding endless loading screens or CTDs on startup, I seem to get these if I download a new patch or DLC. I invariably have to repair my game before it lets me use mods. You've probably tried it already but it fixed a lot of issues for me and it only takes a minute or two if you haven't.

Thanks for all your help and work on the Mod Maker Dawn, it's really appreciated.
A small part of me almost wishes I had never decided to mod Inquisition. I'm just so spoiled now by the great mods that help to make my replays so much more enjoyable. Without them, the vanilla game just ends up frustrating me and I usually rage quit after an hour. It's the same as Skyrim. I just can't play an unmodded Skyrim, it's like going from a 5* meal each day to then living on water and crackers. Sure, you get by, but it's just not as enjoyable.

I'm actually not sure what it stands for but basically, every asset in the game is part of an EBX from texture to loot table to game logic. I'm pretty sure the "e" in it is for "embedded" though XD

Google is giving me nothing except that it seems to be an EA specific file format. I always thought of it as sort of meta-data when it's used for art assets and "operating instructions" when used for other "stuff" ![]()

Since the EBXes are kind of bundles of assets inside what is called a Super Bundle (sb), I'll guess that the B stands for bundle too (you can't have super without regular, right?)
So EBX would stand for Embedded Bundle X. We only need to find "X" now ![]()
Anyway, once I'm done fixing this thing, I'll create a more useful tool à la Creation Kit where nobody ever needs to know about hex editing, EBX and offsets. XD
