Hey, so I'm not sure if anyone else has gotten to this first, but I've updated the Increased Inventory mod to be compatible with patch 8 and 9. I have a few different versions available so that people have some options for how big they want to go, since I have no idea how to make a configurable mod.

I made sure to credit Eham in the Nexus description and the mod description, but is there anyone else I should add to the list?

No, EHam was the only original author who made the mod

I need some help with making a normal map. When I save it as an ATI2 (3Dc XY 8 bpp | Normal Map) it gets a black shadow on it in game. How can I fix this?

What program are you saving it in. I save it as a bmp in Photoshop and then compress to ATI2N with the Compressonator.

It looks like it but I would get it from AMD's official page

Did you ever find out the answer to this, Joyce? I tried the latest MM today and also got the 'processing official patch'

It was my understanding that it wasn't supposed to do that now?

ETA: I also had to up my official patch number in order to play the dlc (my merged patch is now at 12)...does anyone know if this is going to have consequences in the future?

The only time it's worth upping the patch number of your patch_modmanagermerge folder is when a new patch comes out that breaks modding and you need to override it.

That is, if Mod Manager cannot merge with the new patch, you can merge with a copy of the old patch (if you still have it or download it) or use an existing merge and then up the merged patch number.

If you do it any other time, then play the game, your save will be tied to the higher number. This isn't so bad when patches are constantly rolling out but the Patch Beta program has ended and I'm guessing there will only be one more patch (patch 10 - numbered 11) before the final DLC.

I'm wondering why you needed to up the official patch for The Descent. Was it because it you had to play it without mods? If so you probably wanted to lower the official patch number again before remerging your mods so that the numbers were all in sync again.

The numbering of the patch isn't a massive deal but it can make your saves unplayable unless you're prepared to keep fiddling with the numbers.

The new mod manager still processes the official patch if it's new and as you increased the number, it thought it was. It shouldn't do it every time you merge though.

Yes, I had to remove all mods for Descent, and upping the patch number was the fix a dev pointed me to. I haven't actually played anything yet after merging a new file, so I should be able to delete that one and fix the number and remerge. I thought about lowering the number, but I wasn't sure if that would make my save from Descent unplayable or not. I will try it and see what happens. Thanks.

I haven't had any problems, :( . I downloaded Descent a couple of days ago and even last night did a few merges, trying to find the right new pajama. I have a lot of mods, and I did experience a delay because I have both Mysterious Josephine and No Shiny shirt installed. Got a lot of overwrite messages but the merge processed just fine. I don't have any complexion mods, for what it's worth. Here's a complete list of all mods in my 'Mods to Merge' folder (under spoiler because of length):

Spoiler

I haven't had to change my patch number at all. I know my list includes a couple of conflicts, but other than Josephine I only choose one at a time. Even when I forget to unclick a hair mod, the MM just overwrites one and still processes the merge with no problem or intervention from me, except waiting a little bit. I hope this helps.

This always happens, I post a reply and then think of one more thing. Here's my one more thing for this post: I always start from Dawnless Sky's app and then launch Mod Manager.

That's a very underwhelming way to say "woo, all the Skyhold outfit mods are going to break because of the wardrobe system!"

Mike Laidlaw said something about he hoped modders would be able to figure out a way to use the extra slots, if I understood correctly, so that's encouraging. And after this last dlc, there shouldn't be anything else to break mods.

hey guys. i am currently trying to mod in a cullen romance card, his card path is ui/static/followers/spcard_cullen. however no matter if i just straight extract the vanilla art and reimport it, i just get a blank card in game. i've tried everything. i suspect it may be either the tool or the mod manager is missing the changed file some how? does anyone have any ideas how to get it to work?

Anyone else have problems lately with blurry textures/normal maps that were made with the new tools?

I remade a face textures that had a scar, but after using the new tools it came out all blurry. This wasn't the case before the patch and I also don't have the Descent DLC, so I'm clueless..

Strange I haven’t had that issue. What resolution have you been importing them in at?

2048px, but I have used that resolution since forever. It's really odd, the textures looked pretty sharp when I was using the old tools with the last two patches. Only the mods that I made with the new modmaker seem to have this issue though, every other old mod seems to be fine.

Just wondering if the new modding tool allows import from 3ds 2015? I want to try another hair-mod, but 3ds 2012 has expired for me :(
