Do u have win 10? If so Windows 10 uses direct x12 now you need to get directx 11 witch u can download from here

whenever I try to install it, it says it can't because I have a newer version. How do I un-install it?

Does that message have any additional options? Such as "continue anyway" to "replace" ?

Or does it just say "ok" and "cancel"?

I went back to win 8.1.

Let's see if it works now...

Concerning my problem with the blurry normal map:

This is the scar before I used the new modding tools

It's pretty much the same normal map and both screenshots have been made during a cutscene. Does anyone have ideas what may be causing this?

is it potentially possible to be able to make certain npc's custom hair available to the inquisitor?

 

i would love to try and get calpurnia's hair for my elf inky.

Try uninstalling slimdx and install it again, sometimes that can get corrupted and it needs a fresh install

Joyce last thing I can suggest is for you to check and see if you have .net framework installed , or if it's up to date

Since the mod maker won't work for me, would anyone be interested in helping me? I need to make a hairstyle similar to this one (but with a more visible braid)

Okay I'm still having issues importing models with the latest mod maker and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I keep getting the error Resource failed to import: Input string was not in correct format. I know some other people have had this and it was to do with date formats or something so I changed the date format hoping that would fix it but no such luck.

open your OBJ in your favorite text editor (like notepad or notepad++) and replace all commas with a dot (CTRL + H And hit Replace ALL)

Tried that, there were no commas in the OBJ.

Hey everyone, finally installed mods for the game and it played wonderfully. However I decided to update my game last night as I hadn't done it in a while and now all my mods no longer function. Is that for everyone or is there something I can do ?

 

Edit: Well I derped, I just had to update my Mod manager. Sorry =P

 

Though a new problem arose, and now I cannot use the mirror in the Black Emporium. Every time I try, the screen goes to black and never loads.

 

Btw, I've been following this group since February and I've seen you guys do some wonders, considering the engine. A huge, massive thanks to all you wonderful people. You are superstars !

This is a known issue. Skin complexion mods, tattoos, vallaslins and vitaar replacements mods can cause black loading screen or crash issues entering/leaving the Black Emporium and/or when using the mirror of transformation. Disable your modded patch before you enter the BE or remove the mods falling into that category.
