I honestly don't understand this tool
I was successful in modding ME3, but all I've managed to do in this, was to extract hair-texture. How did you do this hair-thingy?

I think, you might give him some rugged textures that will make his cloth more heroic fantasy and less modern. Beside that, he is cool.
All right dear modders : temporary offfcial fix for the game

@Chaos17Yup, will try to. Thx
you probably already know this but u can use maya to make a lower res and quad mesh and keep the UV's from marvelous while using the high res and low res in either xnormal /zbrush/mudbox to transfer the high quality normals

You're right. This is exactly what i am doing
Gonna try to make low res version and see if it looks good on female model then i can be sure it's something inquisitor might wear at skyhold lol

OMG. These are AMAZING.
Thank you to all of your talented modders who are working on great things. I cannot wait until we can import these into my game. You guys are awesome.
For other hair references, I really liked Anto's hairstyle converts for DA:O.

Just want to give you guys some more references if needed. I am loving everything I'm seeing so far though. You guys are insanely talented.

Dear modders, DO NOT download the patch because at the moment it seems the game is forced into low rez quality graphics (even set on high) and some meshs seems to be messed up like the scars not appearing anymore or freekles on dwarf Hardding.
Sorry, I didn't want to sound bad or anything I just don't want your works to be messed up or wasted or... anything... I just want your mods be safe ;_;
Edit : I didn't saw Adela men hairs, you're doing good. I specially think the second hairstyle will suit nicely Alistair because for the moment I think he looks like too much like Cullen because of the same haircuts XD You did a nice job, gratz.
Don't be too hard on yourself, you and the other modders are already planning/doing so much for us that's is awesome.
I can confirm this. I updated before reading this. My game looks like ****. My hair is shiny. All the textures and meshes are low quality, post-processing is almost entirely gone and there is no tessellation. Bioware Q&A really screwed the pooch on this one.
-EDIT- And changing settings does nothing.

Check my post above for a direct link to a temporary fix, I hope it will help you.
The fix will force the game to be set on level of quality you want.

@Adela - Those hairs are F-ing amazing and I want them in game NOW!
As a guy who always plays guys in RPGs, the lack of mods for men is what drove me to modding myself and creating custom Shepard face textures and porting other people's hair mods into ME3. Now I would never tell a creative type to stop pushing herself to be better but give yourself credit. These took you what? ...a day? It took me a week to learn how to fit an Apachii hair to Shep's head in 3DSMax and then export it to the game like 1000 times to make it look halfway decent. I wasn't even modelling from scratch like you. I know how you feel though about being a perfectionist. I love my mods but I've ever released any of them because I don't believe they're 100% perfect and I'm too fragile to face backlash.
Keep up the great work!

The fix worked for me, but you need to make sure that your settings in game are the same as the one you wrote on the command line.
I'd recommend to set Mesh, Tessellation and Texture at Ultra, the rest at High is good enough without require too much from the pc. In this case the command line should be Ultra.

All of my settings were already set to Ultra. I just tried keeping the three you mentioned and changing the rest to high as opposed to ultra. I'm about to restart to see if that fixes anything.. Or helps or makes it worse.

There's alot of hidden files on pc that I've yet to figure out what they do. Specifically under user/local/roaming and such. Most games throw an ini into my documents, which reflects in game settings. I've yet to see a file like this, so it concerns me where the actually in game settings are really saved (hopefully not just on the cloud).
@Kiitosu - That's a pimp outfit, I would totally rock it.
@Adela - Smoking sexy hairs! I expected nothing less from the Goddess of Hairs ;p

ADELA! These are wonderful! I'd LOVE to have them for a future playthrough, PLEASE don't give up or trash them!? I can understand if you feel like they aren't quite up to your standards and want to keep tweaking them, but I really LIKE them, and they are SO MUCH BETTER than anything now in game that we would all be the poorer if you decided to abandon them. I'd personally use them as is, no tweaking necessary, in my honest opinion.

Really, those male hairs look better then 99% of what is in DAI anyways >.>
I just want those awesome qunari hairs on though *grabby hands*
*sigh* wish the tool would come out quicker but patience, after the patch today I rather not see WV rush anything.

You mean you made it from scratch or imported like an .obj from another source (like the Sims)? And what year is your 3ds? 2015 or earlier? (Am about to get it myself soon and want to know which version to get).
And btw; is it only possible to add textures at the moment? Not complete meshes?

Excuse me for not going through 25 pages of posts to find the answer myself but are there any mods ready for people to download or are they still being tested? When I first read that because of the engine used that mods were highly unlikely I was depressed and now finding out that people are already working on them is making me excited and impatient

Mods are still being tested. Keep checking though. At the rate they're going, we might see something soon-ish.
