well, I got to the 3rd romace scene with solas on my black jammies and the game locked
Also it seems to lose the texture sometimes
don't get me wrong, still love going around in style!
It also happens with Silvif texture so it may be just a game engine thing
First time seeing something like that
Gotta investigate and spend more time watching custscenes and find out what happens. Looks like it has troubles with shaders/materials or speculars idk that only shows on leather and metal as i see. Interesting.

diffuse/tint/specular/normal/patterns/shaders/etc. All that give ingame models better look.
There's only diffuse map on ur model as i see.

I dunno what do you want to achieve.
As for armour materials, extract all the textures and create material with them for future rendering/retexturing.
As for scene setup, i prefer mray. There loads of tutorials for how to do that ![]()
Depends on what exactly you want. I suck at helping with this stuff, it will be better if you find decent tutorials.

Yes.
So, I have successfully replaced the human female face with Morrigan's face, Cassandra's face and Sera's face. But editing any of them and importing them always results in a black face. I'm not sure what the deal is.
-EDIT- MipMaps, no MipMaps, DXT5, DXT1, it is all the same result. Has anybody else successfully imported a face?

Then, you have to create good looking material, setup lighting and bake textures. That's it.

Like I said, I can replace a face, I just can't import a face which has been edited at all.

Hwo would i, as a person who has no idea of modding this game yet, be able to change pajamas etc in the game? I guess a simple mod tool like the nexus will be of function in the near future? ![]()
And replace armor ?

Like I said, I can replace a face, I just can't import a face which has been edited at all.
So i took Solas texture and added some blush areas, worked well. All i had to do is to edit Solas texture the way i want and copy it over original texture of the character (all done in photoshop), so alpha channels are all the same and transparency too. Had to adjust new image to have the same tone and color as original one, coz i dont really understand the way materials work yet.
Saved as DDS DXT5 with interpolated alpha.

Mods- not yet , everything that happens here is more like testing, i think. But, in future, yea.
