Been trying to extract soundtrack files using a lot of tools and scripts. Some worked, some didn't and the result from those that were working are not what I want. Frostbite Engine is a real pain in the neck. ![]()

My tool can preview them, including all streams (Just not export at this time), and warranty voider has written some tools to actually convert the chunk data into each of the individual streams. So it definately can be done.

As I have explained before, its most likely due to the streaming of the data, in the resource file, and the SB's are a bunch of different offsets and sizes, which I am still working out how to calculate 100% correctly, these determine how the engine streams the data in, and this is where the corruption is most likely coming from.
That may be but does it explain why my textures don't work while the exact some texture works when somebody else saves it? I would think that is something on my end. Also, I have reinstalled photoshop and the nvidia dds plugin and am still getting the same results. I'm not really certain where to go from here. Maybe reinstall Windows... -__-
Anyway, thank you to everybody who helped me try to figure this out. Wish it had worked out.

My response was not in regards to your problem, but other peoples corruption. As for your problem, not sure.

Yes, It can be done, but there is still far too many unknowns in the model files to be able to automate.

Just to throw an idea out there, could the rendering be affected by directx/mantle api settings? not saying that this is the problem, and sorry if i said something stupid ![]()
Anyway, gentle lurker here, I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone on their amazing efforts and results! I did a bit of scripting for da:o, but what you guys are doing is waaaaay over my comprehension level

So, the scanning worked. Found all assets. Tried to replace one of the PJ textures from someone else here just to try it. But when I tried to save it, there was an error, couldn't save cache file because the file is already being used/not being used (couldn't see which one, ran out of space on the screen). And all of the textures for InquisitorJill was suddenly gone. What did I do wrong? :S and yes, I have the latest version of the tool ![]()

Sounds like you attempted to save a patch while loading cache, that would cause a crash, I havent put in any protection measures yet.

If someone has the body shapes extracted for the DAI races I wouldn't mind giving it a shot and fit some of the well done/nicer Skyrim armors to them. Can't be any worse than fitting them to UNP.
Heads would be cool - I have like 20 gigs left on all three of my harddrives so extracting everything is room (and time - I have a toddler!) I don't have. But I've done work with Skyrim so it can't be that much different. Fitting/rigging-wise. I never got the hang of the CK.

@Veritrix - I already converted a couple UNP tera armors to the female body of DA:I. My threads been up for a long while to lol. (see the bottom of the post)
Its pretty easy, except you have to resize the skyrim armor down alot, and rotate it 180 degrees. I was able to copy the skin modifier to keep the weighting. I'm waiting until Ehamloptiran is at the point with his tools were we can start testing meshes. Then I can see if its properly weight or not.
Keep in mind copying the weights is kind of buggy. Skyrim would do the same thing, but only once and a while. So I typically would copy the weights, hit go, and it would crash. Thankfully 3ds did an auto back up. Then came in with the recovery, and deleted the skin wrap. It allowed me to export.
I even tested if I could convert it to a nif, and view in nifskope. Worked fine.

Unfortunately there is only so many hours in the day, and I am only one person (and I assure you that I am a person, not a robot). So mesh support will come eventually, once I have figured out the remaining unknowns so that I can re-import. The full source is avaiable for DA_Tools, so if you feel like assisting rather than complaining, jump in there and start figuring out how to re-import. I welcome any assistance, especially for ebx, since I am struggling to get that re-imported.

@Handsome Hank - It can actually be related with your NVidia configurations. I remember to have some weird problems with textures, and I couldn't find anywhere a solution. I just reset the 3D configurations to default and got it fixed.
I can imagine your frustration. Other thing you can do is to make your texture in Photoshop and save as PSD then convert to DDS on GIMP. I tell you this because I never could save a texture on PS in a way that worked in game... Go figure.

Alright I was digging about how to extract textures and looks like in the previous version of the tool we could extract all of them at once, and now all I see is doing individually.
Maybe I'm missing something, but there's a way to extract all textures of one section at once? I'd like to have all textures in game extracted so I can choose what I want to mess with.

hi, im using 3ds max my version of it is 2012 but u can get any version from 2010 and up because it has some extra tools that are useful as for the skeleton/skinned meshes go here and use this tool http://daitools.free...export-t79.html

yea it is possible to switch hairs but for now there is no mesh importing tool into the game, only textures atm, meshes will come a bit later

Also unique NPC's tend to have unique hair that does not necessarily fit the player, so they would need to be remolded to the player.

yea, remolding is not that big of an issue considering the hairs are either short or up-do's
