Isn't importing hair styles still not possible, though? I think the hope was that we could easily use unique, existing hairs, because if it was easy that means we could do it sooner.yea, remolding is not that big of an issue considering the hairs are either short or up-do's

i stated earlier that the tool cannot yet support importing for meshes yet just textures for now but Eham and Voider are working on importing meshes as well

After spend about 6 hours looking at all posts here and on tool's forum, also trying to mess with the Tool itself I got to the conclusion that I'm lost... -.-
Got a few textures exported, worked them nicely but I have no clue of how to import them to the game. How to create that patch I saw you guys talking about? Also asking again; any way to export more than one texture at time?

The only way i know how to export all the textures and meshes in bulk is by using Eham's old tool witch require you to use the command prompt
For importing textures into the game.... *SNIP*

I installed the SlimDX but when I try to load the .exe from DAI it crashes, maybe I need reinstall the game.

@Handsome Hank - It can actually be related with your NVidia configurations. I remember to have some weird problems with textures, and I couldn't find anywhere a solution. I just reset the 3D configurations to default and got it fixed.
I can imagine your frustration. Other thing you can do is to make your texture in Photoshop and save as PSD then convert to DDS on GIMP. I tell you this because I never could save a texture on PS in a way that worked in game... Go figure.
And hey, don't give up!!

- Can open previously created patches (Not the official ones)
- Mod manager for creating merged patches
- EBX Binary Import/Export - Handy for testing

Handsome Hank, I also have the black face issue. I tried to add back Blackwall's concept art greys, and that was fine...but his face is now black.
Bit confused about the discussion over it, have you confirmed it's a normal error for this stage of the modding tools, or is it something specific you and I are doing wrong, or possibly both, or neither?

Actually it's fans of Wing Commander and Freelancer (same designer..Chris Roberts) but yeah...This game is #1 on my want list.

hi, im using 3ds max my version of it is 2012 but u can get any version from 2010 and up because it has some extra tools that are useful as for the skeleton/skinned meshes go here and use this tool http://daitools.free...export-t79.html

After many hours until I got my first texture into the game I must say that I'm very satisfied and very frustrated at same time.
The tools are amazing! And because I got the colors I wanted perfectly for the texture, but then seems like the texture is not fitting perfectly, which makes two weird misplaced spots. I've tried everything so far to fix this but nothing worked, maybe tomorrow I can figure out what's wrong.
For now this is the face texture I'll be using for my character, will keep working on it until get right.
Here I marked what is off place.

Does anybody know if it's possible to replace headmorphs? I'd like to replace Harding's with one of the character creator's default.
Not morphs.
Texture can be replaced right now and coders have replaced some meshes not all, hence they are still not releasing the code until they can make it more generic
