I wonder then why PJs are beige by default? Diffuse is grey, default tint texture had red and green in it. Confused
What exactly tint does then, if it's easier just color diffuse >.<
As for Solas, sure, i will post few pics, but i can't make new ones coz Solas gone
Replaced with the custom one

OMG. This guy is GORGEOUS! I'd LOVE to be able to play AS him, using Solas' body/skeleton (since I'll have to play a guy at some point to romance Dorian.) The default elven male body is shorter than I prefer, and too skinny for my tastes. Solas' height/build are perfect.
Then, in some far future playthrough, playing another Dalish femQuis romancing Solas again, I'd totally replace Solas with this, see how the younger appearance affects my emotional involvement. I'm 44 (though I don't really look it), and my (shaved bald, looks younger than his age) hubby is 48 irl. I LOVE Solas bald, but this...this is beautiful!

Omg m8,great work there.Just waiting for the day that will be possible to play an inquisitor like that
congratz.
Thank u so much guys for putting all the hard work and effort into this.
Hi folks,
First off a big thank you to everyone working on the project its really nice to see. I've been following the discussion for a while but not having the mental acuity for modding/coding I felt at the time there was not a great deal for me to add.
The lack of face codes has already been gone over but I recall there was some chat about being able to pull face codes? Though at the moment no way to reimport that back to the game. Is it likely a face replacer/headmorph replacer will be implementable in the future as it was with DAO?
P.S Adela's hair rocks!

He looks so cool. Good job!
I hope he won't loose an inch of his beauty in Frostbite.
Do you plan to make more faces for facemorph/presets ? I like how you're able to capture simply the elvish feeling. I mean, when I see your model, I don't see a human with long ears and I like that.
Hi everybody ! =)
I'm not a modder but I follow modder's works for a long time and I'm always impressed by you skills ! I want to thank you ! >.<
I can't help but I still can propose some ideas. There is best hairstyles from mmo Rohan Blood Feud. If it can helps you a bit, I'd be happy ! ^^
yea it is possible to switch hairs but for now there is no mesh importing tool into the game, only textures atm, meshes will come a bit later
Thanks for answering. Hm, I don't know how to help. My modding skills are reduced to some very very basic usage of 3dsmax and niftools back in Skyrim. But that was fairly easy to do because I was using people's scripts that made things 999999 times easier.

Сould be possible. Most problematic part is texture, i might give it a try when it's possible. Kinda interesting ![]()

You think that the texture that you're actually using will pose problem ?
Faces in DA:I use multiple layers, nothing extraordinary, but it is gonna be a bit hard on me, i don't usually draw skins.
Mod Challenge Time!!!!
Get a Quizzy picture with red clothes and a helmet that looks like a Santa hat. Post it here. The best ones will go on the front page

Where we can find icons for armor and weapon?
globals.sb in one of the texture atlases

Tint maps allow you to single out parts of a texture to tint with shaders via RGB channels. So imagine If you could craft the skyhold jammies, the tint map would single out parts of the texture in the RGB channels and tint them depending on what material you chose in each material slot. So the first material slot would be linked to the red channel and would allow the jacket/shirt part of the texture to be tinted, second material slot would be linked to the green channel and would allow the boots to be tinted etc.
Hi guys,
firstly thanks for all of you! It's amazing what you've accomplished!
from what I heard to be able to rip my own character off from the game i need to find my character's morph.
Are the tools capable of that now?
I would love to have my character 3d printed!

It's just a way of cutting down on the amount of textures required. Without a tint map you'd need a stupid amount of texture maps per armour piece to cover the various colour schemes whereas with tint maps you can just use a single base texture for the look of the clothing/armour and leave the colour to the shaders.
and specular defines material through rgb? red for leather green for cloth blue for metal, so those maps are not so important for custom stuff? well, specular can be useful, but tint.

At the moment, this is almost certainly most straightforwardly done with a 3D ripper, not with modding tools. Your character's face data is a bunch of numbers that are used to blend a few dozen 3D objects and textures into his or her final appearance, and mod tools look at those objects and textures, not at the final result.
Anyway, does anyone know where I'd need to look for the text of war table missions? Is this currently known? I've been poking around for a couple of hours but not found anything yet.

As i remember, player's char face stored in numbers for each slider, not baked to 3d directly.
Hi everyone - I'm not an experienced modder by any means so I have no clue how to use your tool, but I really want to change my Inquisitor's Skyhold jammies, at least the color
Can someone perhaps walk me through it??? Thank you!

What color do you want them ? Red ok ?

Pretty much, specular maps tend to define the 'shininess' of a texture. The brighter the contents of a channel are the shiner they are, hence why the buckles and buttons are solid white in the blue channel for the skyhold jammies, they're made of metal so they would reflect more light than the material the jacket is made out of. Tint is useful for creating variation among assets sharing the same resource/texture. Think of DAO, nearly every armour set had tint maps which allowed the colour of the armour to change depending on what material it was made out of but the appearance never changed. For the custom stuff you're making, unless you want it to be customizable through crafting I'd say it's not necessary to include a tint map unless the engine requires it to not throw up errors when importing.
