Making prettier faces is hard. I wonder if there is a demand for an apostate hobo mod. That'll allow room for me to mess up. Nope. Just as hard but different problems. *sign*

So I'm (sadly) still having trouble locating the ability icon textures. I've gone through every .sb file, went down every item on the left window, and looked at the name of every item on the right window under the "res" tab. I'm looking for something like:
ui/.../icons/.../shield_wall.itexture
Or really any of the ability names. There are dozens of abilities so I figured I would have found whatever package they're in fairly easily if it was that simple.
Perhaps the icons aren't saved as individual textures, but instead each ability tree is one texture? That unfortunately wouldn't be terribly helpful, as we already have access to that via the Prima strategy guide images; I was hoping to find each, individual ability icon because I'm not very good at cutting them out of a larger image with a background.

They are part of a texture atlas, and most likely found in globals.sb

A question, might have been answered though. How do we install a mod like this? http://www.nexusmods...&preview=&pUp=1
I much rather change the texture then have to use a custom patch and the dds file is there, do we have the tool to do that public or is that still being tested? Sorry if this has already been asked >.>
If we can do that now, though, can someone list how to do it.

You can use the DDS files to create your own custom patch (only way of importing textures atm) or just use his patch (much quicker same result). The benefit of using the DDS files is that you can add them and then add as many as you like before creating your own patch, to get your own custom mod. Unless you have these ready to go though (textures to replace something other than Skyhold outfit) then I say just use his mod for now and keep the DDS files for later.
The other benefit of DIY is that you will learn how to do it for the future If you intend to mod the game a lot.

Thanks, I've finally found them. Would you happen to know of a free tool that could cut all of these out easily by chance?
I'd have to have to do it one by one. ![]()

Ah ok thanks for the quick response. Then yeah I'll just use the custom patch.

At some point, the intention would be to read the atlax EBX which actually says how to split up the icons, and then we could actually have individual icon extraction, but that will come later

I just found THIS: http://www.nexusmods...ition/mods/63/?
Sadly, it is not yet working (which makes me want to cry like a baby) but fills me with joy. This because there is at least hope on the horizon, and I realize it truly was the texture I hated, NOT the model. A simple retex later, and I'm over the moon! I mean, once this gets working, I can FINALLY enjoy WEWH.
I still kinda want a fabulous Orlesian gown, but this is perfectly acceptable and lovely. It actually looks expensive, harmonious, and not garish or unfathomable, and that makes all the difference in the world.

make the eyelash material black (or whatever colour you want the lashes to be) and use that for opacity.

What do you mean? If 3ds max or something, use this texture as opacity map. Worked fine for me.

Thanks! I'm pretty new to 3D software so I'm learning while retexturing.

I'm going to be reuploading the older version and the current UI-broken version after I add a disclaimer, just so that people who want it can still get it. Sorry!!
And thanks for clarifying Eham! Good to know I'm not the only one it happened to. ![]()

WIP: Can't get it right. Handpainting eyebrows is hard. Must spend more days. Debating if I should make his brows as dark as his concept or keep it brown. Also debating if I should make his skin as sickly as Samson. Must work on skin.
His new look too soft. Needs to look more prideful. Also wonder how to insert new eyes but that's later thinking.

Not sure about rigged meshes (extracted as .spk), as for static models, they are in .obj format. So yea, it's possible.

Has anyone managed to locate/export any music files?
Would love to get all of the music not on the soundtrack, but don't know where to look.
