Well Eham said he was able to change the game files, it just didn't do what he wanted. It didn't crash and still ran, which means you can get away with editing.
If I was to use a _t.dds map, where would I put it? In refraction by the color box? Or under that translucency?
I'll show you guys what this looks like, when its presentable lol.
@Adela - Yea, I welded the verts with 0.001 and converted it to a poly. I recopied the mesh again, and it worked. The prior one was all odd, not sure why.
I use soft selection alot, so it wasn't working the way I was used to.
Also WV is working a gui of the current extractors/converters, and he's determined to make a previewer.

Here is a conversion from a human female npc armor, to a female qunari. (decided to challenge myself to get back in practice lol).
The default naked bodies are really bad though. Like the shaping of it almost looks alien. I thought Bethesda had bad models..but this looks like it was created by either a man who's never seen a woman, or a monkey with a pencil.
I found only the fingers to even resemble a human like being lol.
