Well for one, I'm not a girl lol.  Last time I checked at least lol.  For whatever reason my render wouldn't save, so I discarded it.  I'll do another once I get a better feel for the tools.

 

As for rule 34, I'm not really sure what that is but I'm sure I can guess.  I posted our group in a couple places on the net such as the dragon age nexus.  So my apologies if it attracted the wrong people,  wasn't my intent.

Well that's cause my avatar is an elf, hard to see his ears with the big head of hair.  I guess you can say he's like a bishonin elf (think that's how your spell it).

 

I guess my next creation of him will have to be more masculine.   Once I get around to setting it all up again.

 

On a side note did you get Solas to work?

Woot finally got everything dumped, and converted to mesh/texture.  Now to see what I missed...if hopefully nothing.  Eyelashes..please be there.  Hair as well....

Yea, I posted it to let him know.  Still can't find darn hair and eyelashes..wtf.  

 

All I can guess is that it uses another texture in place of a separate one.  Like one of the hair files...need transparency to fix it though :(

 

So far I've looked at hair, character face, and even body textures.  If the eyelashes use the hair (cause I do see some goatee in there), gonna take alot of work to make it look right.  Seriously annoying. I wish I had a nice texture path like Bethesda to follow for meshes..

I think its a translucency map 

 

it could be transparency/opacity/alpha maps... just in weird colors just like the eye lashes and eyebrows...

Yea, that's about all the info I could find online about _t.dds.  I'm also toying with some verts, and oddly enough 3ds max isn't letting me move 1 by 1..lol wtf.  I swear I used this version before, and it was never like this.

 

I'm about to try resizing an armor to fit a different race.  We'll see what happens..

Not in game yet. To get the changes back into the game we need to find a way to get past the signed table of contents that stores file names and sizes (it has some kind of security) which is being  tricky so far.

 

Any changed element, be it a texture or mesh would need to be updated on toc and so far our attempts to crack the signature method have failed so the game ignores our changes.

did u convert the mesh into an editable poly and then  turn vertex mode on?

this worries me... :wacko:  ive been working on some hair meshes for males as well as femals also used as a refrence the early design from Solas and Dorian from the DAI art book... but all of this work will be worthless without an exporter/compiler

Well Eham said he was able to change the game files, it just didn't do what he wanted.  It didn't crash and still ran, which means you can get away with editing.

 

If I was to use a _t.dds map, where would I put it? In refraction by the color box?  Or under that translucency? 

 

I'll show you guys what this looks like, when its presentable lol.

 

@Adela - Yea, I welded the verts with 0.001 and converted it to a poly.  I recopied the mesh again, and it worked.  The prior one was all odd, not sure why.

 

I use soft selection alot, so it wasn't working the way I was used to.

 

Also WV is working a gui of the current extractors/converters, and he's determined to make a previewer.

The default naked bodies are really bad though.  Like the shaping of it almost looks alien.  I thought Bethesda had bad models..but this looks like it was created by either a man who's never seen a woman, or a monkey with a pencil.  

 

I found only the fingers to even resemble a human like being lol.

Oh don't worry. Mods are tenacious people. Voider cracked things a lot harder than that, it just takes time :P
